Uconn, St John’s, Missouri, Baylor, Iowa, Cuse, Tennessee, Texas, NC State, OK St, USC, & Ole Miss, per trilly
Yup on both accounts. Forget about the on court stuff, if he ends up with Slick it will further derail the board. It’s worth not happening for that reason alone. The board meltdown if he went with Pitino would be nuclear level.
And the narrative/talking point switch around Hurley if he went to UConn would be interesting to see.
You must be a glutton for punishment. I’d rather have hot candle wax dripped on certain areas.I hope he goes to Pitino. And we can let that fester and rage.

Exactly!Who knows if true but I cannot believe Saint Danny would ever consider taking a FA from his beloved Seton Hall![]()
I bet we gave him about $500k and he ends up getting $2.5-$3M.What did we pay him this year and how much is he looking for next year?
I could see him turning into a player like the UConn center but it's going to take a lot of work on his part. Not going to happen immediately.

There's no way Danny is taking him for next year. For as good as everyone here thinks Hines is, he's not bringing Danny a national championship next year. Danny could do much better in the portal. If Danny takes him, it's an investment for his junior or senior year. I don't see many coaches making those investments especially since you have no commitment from the player that you know he's going to stay. The board meltdown if he went with Pitino would be nuclear level.

Did Michigan have a major contributor that played at Illinois the prior year?Pretty sad when you’re a minor league franchise for your own league mates.

It is the market.

You put him on UConn surrounded by quality teammates and he will look great! Plus a staff that will develop him and make him better! What did we pay him this year and how much is he looking for next year?

One player Does not bring a national championship! It takes 5 players and a strong bunch of role players. Hines surrounded with quality players would be more than enough to make the dance and do damage. There's no way Danny is taking him for next year. Money talks now. You either have it or you don't.Pretty sad when you’re a minor league franchise for your own league mates.
Hines couldn’t stay on the court for 20 minutes most games. He’s nowhere near Sanogo or Clingan. If you replaced Reed with Hines UConn isn’t beating Duke. There’s no way Danny isn’t looking for much better than Paynes backupOne player Does not bring a national championship! It takes 5 players and a strong bunch of role players. That will change. Hurley or Pitino will make him a star player. Holloway could’ve too, it’s not a slight to Sha.Hines couldn’t stay on the court for 20 minutes most games. One good summer of conditioning and good diet could have Hines ready to play 30 minutes or more a game.Hines couldn’t stay on the court for 20 minutes most games. He’s nowhere near Sanogo or Clingan. I think Hines would backup Reibe as a soph. Hines will be very good as a jr or sr. I know the BE was down last year but Hines was probably the 4th best big behind Zuby, Reed, & Brennan.Hines couldn’t stay on the court for 20 minutes most games. He’s nowhere near Sanogo or Clingan. Myles Powell had the same issue. You could see changes in butterball by October of his freshman year. Hines has been through 10 months of college workouts and I don't see one ounce of change. We've seen guys like Powell put in the work and guys like Melvyn Oliver not put in the work. But 10 months of little to no change isn't something I would invest in especially when there are proven options out there. One good summer of conditioning and good diet could have Hines ready to play 30 minutes or more a game.
The thing is, his per 40 stats put him the same echelon as the best upperclass big men in the country. The risk with Hines isn’t so much whether he’ll reach the ability level of a $3 million player. He’s basically there already. As a freshman. The risk is whether he can withstand the workload you’d want from a guy with that kind of salary.Could I see paying the fully realized potential version of Hines that amount? I guess. Should a school like SHU pay the sophomore version of Hines that amount? No. Should any? No. Will someone? I guess.
I dont care if our players go to other BE teams. Watching them star for a big 10 or sec school, that would suck. The board meltdown if he went with Pitino would be nuclear level.

I’d be fine with him going to any BE team. Rather keep top talent in conference than be butthurt over it.The board meltdown if he went with Pitino would be nuclear level.

So your making it personal and emotional but from a purely results standpoint, it’s highly significant for SHU’s success that the conference do well. And having the best players, especially big men, is the key to March.I'd rather him leave the Big East. Those are the only games I watch during the regular season anymore & I don't want to be reminded any further how much the portal & NIL suck.
