Notice the "Ha"at the front if your peasized brain can grasp it. The comment I responded to was showing some of our players ranked in the 200's of available kids. It pointed out how bad our talent was, and that was on him.
Reading comprehension...I realize you may have an 8th grade education, but try and keep up

I wouldn’t say idiot, I’d say blue tinted glasses. Pope has more than proven he’s an average in game coach at best. His substitution, game prep, ability to motivate, and defensive philosophy are way below average.
Ability to motivate is not a thing .. Now if you want to say Pope didn't identify kids who were motivated then so be it

I don’t agree with you. Coaches across all sports, the greatest ones motivate their players to play at the highest level for them. The ones who can’t struggle.
Pope needs to motivate himself into studying the offense Dan Hurley runs, like seriously study it. Omg, the way those players constantly move to get open, it's more of a European type of offense but a very good one.

Terrible job by our staff of evaluating talent...and we spent more than any team for these guys. Unbelievable
JJ was from Lexington. He was also highly rated. Had UK not taken him this board would have melted down. I cannot blame that on anyone. In fact, it wasn't like he was a starter and could have just been brought along if we had a loaded roster, which we didn't.

BG was an enigma. He was highly rated and had a ton of potential. He just never seemed to "get it."

UK has often had players that simply never did rise to UK levels. Unfortunately for us, this past year was a "perfect storm" on so many fronts.

Curious for those who might answer a question of mine..
When players like JJ, Lowe and Garrison announce they are hitting the portal, does UK or any university for that fact, allow these players to continue to use that schools facilities knowing they are leaving?

If the answer is yes, can anyone explain why this would be allowed?
If players announce they are leaving and continue to use a schools facilities, isn't this like paying for someone to f you?

The name calling on this site is out of control.

We used to have mods wouldn't tolerate that stuff, and now that we don't, that leaves us to fight it out.

I'm on here to hear diverse opinions and get information about recruits and such.

The "you suck, Pope sucks, our players suck" stuff is exhausting, and brings NOTHING positive to anything.
We had an entire thread basically saying this as well and the response was that if players, parents, families, other posters didn't like it they were a bunch of snowflakes, etc. I thought that was quite sad, to be honest. It says a lot about the way people in our society are being raised.

Whether or not we like it or not aside...

The students technically haven't transferred, even entering the portal doesn't mean they are leaving. They can still choose to return to UK if they don't like the offers in the portal. They are still enrolled at UK as students, meaning they have access to classes, facilities, and all things other students enrolled at UK would have as well. The UK basketball specific training facilities that other students don't have access to, these portal entry players do still have access to, because as stated above, they haven't transferred. They just have announced that they are going to portal and hear other offers.

Thank you.
You threw me for a loop when I read about classes and all. After I watched Carson Beck say he has not been to class in over 2 years and I haven't seen anything from Uk or any other school about what used to be a bid deal, players grade averages and team gpa stuff.
I thought when NIL came, classes might be voluntary now.
