I’ve seen in photos of spring practice that players are wearing blue pants with white stripes. I think that it’s a good look. I know that a lot of you will disagree, but I’d love to see them wear those pants with the white jerseys on the road, and balance it with a blue helmets with iconic lion logo on each side.
I prefer khakis with whales on them.

Iconic? Losing every big game from 1995 to 2025? That is iconic? Change is good. Come out in all blues for Opening day against Marshall and signal that change is here to stay.
Yeah new unis are going to win those Big and National Championships Kraft promised. What rock were you living under when Penn State won the Big Championship in 2016 and two playoff games in 2024? What a 🤡 post.

Bama has worn alternate uniforms. I think they incorporated the houndstooth to honor Bear Bryant one game.

Has Alabama ever worn alternate uniforms?

"Yes, the University of Alabama has worn alternate uniforms at several points throughout the years. The team most notably began using alternate uniforms during the Nick Saban era in the late 2000s. These alternate uniforms typically feature a different design or color scheme than the standard crimson and white uniforms, sometimes incorporating black or grey colors.

For example, the team introduced an all-black uniform in 2015. Additionally, the team has worn throwback uniforms and custom uniforms for special events such as rivalry games, bowl games, and the College Football Playoff."
Bama also wore white helmets at least until the early 1970s.

PSU already wears alternate uniforms at times. I like the Generations of Greatness uniforms. However, I tend to think that teams that change uniforms frequently do so out of lack of tradition (looking at you Oregon). I’m good with the current alternates. Of the schools you listed, only OU has a decent looking alternate IMO. Plus, with the Adidas deal, if PSU asks for alternates they’ll end up looking like a gaudy track suit. No thanks.
Generations of greatness is a Franklin thing. So is losing every single big game.

I don’t think that anybody believes that a different uniform is going to win games. However, there’s nothing wrong with wearing an alternate uniform every once in a while. It certainly hasn’t hurt schools like OSU, Michigan, ND, Oregon, etc. With that said, I would be in favor of wearing the blue pants with the white stripes on the road; it’s a good and traditional look.

Finally, as you may know, PSU in its history has worn a different shade of blue, socks with stripes on them, pants with stripes on them, numbers on the helmets, etc. So, the current uniform set isn’t what PSU has worn forever, and not even what they wore in the first decade of the Paterno era.

If you like the idea of new uniforms or alternate uniforms, I respect that, but it ain’t gonna mean diddly squat wrt the on-field results.

I am all for changing and refreshing things that have a correlation to on field results. A uniform change would not fit in this category.

Keeping the uniforms the same has no correlation to on the field results.

"We are" means a number of things. One of the little ones is that we don't screw with the uniforms.

Yet somehow we survived Paterno changing the color of the uniform from royal blue to navy blue. The horror!
