Only an idiot would try and make this a positive about Pope. Oweh and Denzel carried the team the entire year while the rest of the team collected their millions and were terrible, they can thank Pope for allowing them to retire a little earlier.
I agree, this team was in a complete disarray all season long, next to no synergy and it was visibly noticeable that several players would quit playing in games, BG and JJ are two that immediatley come to mind, BG was just flipping outright lazy and JJ was gonna get his no matter what, some say he's putting up shots right as I'm typing this, dude's nickname should be AK-47, because soon as his *** comes off the bench, he's firing away!

He’s never seen a shot he didn’t like, a pass that he didn’t wanna make. He also will get the ball taken away like he was a little brother playing in the driveway.
I wouldn’t say idiot, I’d say blue tinted glasses. Pope has more than proven he’s an average in game coach at best. His substitution, game prep, ability to motivate, and defensive philosophy are way below average.

This. I really doubt any serious thought has been given to those rankings yet, especially with so many names being tossed in just the last couple days or so.
JJ didn’t help win a single game this year but contributed mightily in several losses often being in when the other team turned the game around, most recently our last game of the year against Iowa State. Now BG did show up big in at least 2, maybe 3 games this year but when we played 36 games overall im not sure how this is a good thing. Also why he’s ranked where he is but I do think he is a bargain at that ranking as a good coach will either maximize his potential or park his *** at the end of the bench.

My biggest issue with BG was his laziness, he’ll get paid to play in Argentina or something someday and that will be his apex.
Yeah, believe this aspect is where they struggled the most, Pope has an idea what identity his teams should have though they failed to scout the right players and his inability to close out recruitment, killed any and all momentum.
Wanna bet that those numbers will be very different by Monday afternoon. Garrison and JJ will both be much higher. On 247 they have not been included in the portal rankings yet. I am predicting that both will be in the top 50 by Monday. Lowe is ranked 17 at the moment. I expect him to drop after everything is retabulated.
