I’ve seen in photos of spring practice that players are wearing blue pants with white stripes. I think that it’s a good look. I know that a lot of you will disagree, but I’d love to see them wear those pants with the white jerseys on the road, and balance it with a blue helmets with iconic lion logo on each side.

The definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I love it.

Let’s nip the uniform discussion in the bud. We have an iconic uniform recognized by all.

Let’s focus on playing championship football.

Those fans focused on fashion can wear whatever they want to the game.

Amen…

…and you can take selfies while the rest of us are watching the game.

I understand your sentiment, but schools like Michigan, OSU, ND and Oklahoma, which are four of the six D-1 schools that have more wins than PSU, all wear alternate uniforms at times. I think that small things like this can inject additional team spirit into the players.

When you were a kid , did you tell your parents you should be able to do things or have things because all the other kids do or have them?

The most dominant football program in this century, named Alabama has never and will never wear alternate uniforms.

Tradition matters.

Penn State‘s brand is partially attributed to the iconic blue and white uniform.

No need to mess with it for yet another ridiculous gimmick.

Iconic? Losing every big game from 1995 to 2025? That is iconic? Change is good. Come out in all blues for Opening day against Marshall and signal that change is here to stay.

They wear a throwback uniform every year now. Doesn’t that qualify? I kinda like the tradition.

If you really want a throwback uniform, they should throwback to royal blue which was the color before it changed to navy blue in the late 60s.

PSU already wears alternate uniforms at times. I like the Generations of Greatness uniforms. However, I tend to think that teams that change uniforms frequently do so out of lack of tradition (looking at you Oregon). I’m good with the current alternates. Of the schools you listed, only OU has a decent looking alternate IMO. Plus, with the Adidas deal, if PSU asks for alternates they’ll end up looking like a gaudy track suit. No thanks.

Welcome to Adidas World.

There will probably be three stripes running down the side of the pants, three stripes somewhere on the jerseys and three stripes on the shoes.

Get used to it

That ain't happening nor should it. The all whites are one of the most iconic uniforms in all of college sports, not just football. Your comment reminds me of the idea to replace Coke with New Coke.

Times change. It’s probably time that this program refreshes other things other than the coaching staff.

I am all for changing and refreshing things that have a correlation to on field results. A uniform change would not fit in this category.

I like pink and black for a home Ohio State game. Complete surprise. Then also come out of the tunnel and two linemen throw the buckeye mascot into the stands. Also paint the visitor locker room pepto bismal pink that week and turn off the water. Then at the coin toss, refuse to shake hands or even look at the other captains while the PA plays Marilyn Manson and the lights flash on and off like a strobe light. How’s that?

Bama has worn alternate uniforms. I think they incorporated the houndstooth to honor Bear Bryant one game.

Has Alabama ever worn alternate uniforms?

"Yes, the University of Alabama has worn alternate uniforms at several points throughout the years. The team most notably began using alternate uniforms during the Nick Saban era in the late 2000s. These alternate uniforms typically feature a different design or color scheme than the standard crimson and white uniforms, sometimes incorporating black or grey colors.

For example, the team introduced an all-black uniform in 2015. Additionally, the team has worn throwback uniforms and custom uniforms for special events such as rivalry games, bowl games, and the College Football Playoff."
