What you are unable to discern is the difference between one party having freaks in it (Republicans have their share) and a party that makes it part of their platform. What I hear you saying is the Dem party has lost the moderates, the blue dogs, the working class. I couldn't agree more. There is a major part of the nation begging for "not Trump" but also "Not DEI, foreign-invasion, and pro-Trans." You can see the power struggle within the Dem party. The Rham Emmanuels and several other Clinton Democrats are begging their party to moderate. But fools like Anon1750 cling to the AOC and squad wing of the party, and the party continues to crumble because of it. They may win the midterms but it will be because of frustration with Trump more than anything the Dems offer to better America.
If the Dems had half a brain cell they'd self-correct and grab the blue dogs back. Instead Trump's populism has won a nice chunk of the working class who are dying to be heard. Meanwhile, the Dems chase the fringe portion of the party and know they need illegals to expand their voting base.
My grandfather was a blue dog democrat from Nebraska. I loved our conversations. We disagreed mildly on taxes and other issues, but we had so much common ground. He would not recognize his own Dem party today. The party of the working class has moved to the party of the weird class.

Most get their information from one source and never even try to understand the other side's argument. Hence, more ignorant voting base.
