Saw on Barstool Penn State that the Den is closing at the end of the semester. When up for games it always looked closed so I'm not sure if this is an April Fool's prank.

Yeah, there and the Skeller too. I would take grasshoppers like you and make you listen to me, and we'd win. A lot.
One night at the Den I was throwing anchor against some log cabin bar from somewhere, and hit 2 triples and a double in the 9th inning to win the team by 2 runs. We didn't pay for anything that night.
So I just re-created this. I haven't thrown darts in months. Not sure why.
I wondered how many 3 dart turns it would take me to get 2 triples and 1 double. Look how the last triple hung in the wound paper board like a good boy!
It took me 11 turns - which is embarrassing, imo. I need to throw more darts.

I did lines in the phone booth outside the den 1985. sigh……
At least the Cattle Car, Train Station, and Train Yard were 50 yards away. So you had that going for you.
On Friday and Saturday nights, the line for the Den usually goes out the door and wraps around the block to The Waffle Shop.

If you ever want to play online and have an English board with steel tips I can help you get set up with an app. It’s pretty awesome. I play people all over the world with a webcam directed at the dartboard.
I've had bristle boards in the past. I just hate the games. We'd always just play baseball on them. I also don't like where the doubles and triples are located. I don't much like heavy darts with plastic flights either. Thus the in home (real) Philly board w/ the turkey feather darts.

No. All Baseball. PA Darts. Wooden board, wooden darts w/ turkey feathers. When playing non-league you made up rule changes. 3 to count means if you only get 1 or 2 runs, they don't count. Pull doubles (or triples) means if you hit a double, you get to pull it and throw it again. I think my record was 9 straight doubles on one dart. Typical game would be Pull Doubles, 3 to count.
I just can't w/ Cricket and the 01 games. You're always throwing at the same numbers. Both games are backwards from baseball darts - where you move forward, score runs, and the double is a mile wide.
