3-2 Badgers after 2 periods.
SOG 28-11 them.

Usually takes about 6 or 7 games for us to give up 3 goals.
Fast, physical game. Different style and pace than our usual. But, we are hanging in and are very much in it.

OT at 3-3.
We are on par with the best programs in the country now. Well, probably a notch below Ohio State, but we are in the national conversation regardless of this outcome.
By far the best women's college hockey game I've ever attended. Ever seen, really.
The crowd is like a men's crowd. PSU and Pegula have put on a great event.

Great season--Ohio State and Wisconsin were the top 2 teams and they showed they can play with Wisconsin--great game!

PSU finishes 3rd -- their highest finish ever

They ended up losing in the semis to the team that finished #1. Not the result we would have liked, but an amazing season for the ladies. I'm going to miss watching Tessa play.

I don't know what the recruiting situation is for the team, but this post-season should only help tremendously. We lose some solid leaders and big talent in Janecke and DeSa and others, and have some solid players returning.
I'm looking forward to seeing and reading about the incoming class and transfers.

We go to a couple regular season games each season (free to attend), and a couple post-season games as well. 1,000 fans is a big crowd. I suspect that may become the average standard if our success continues. Hope so. Always great to see any Penn State team achieve success.

I still would like Cappelletti to tell PSU to “unretire” his number.
I don't think he will, but I agree 100%.
I think Athletics should create visible, fan-friendly "Rings of Honor" in all our stadiums and arenas.
Along with that, rather than retiring any numbers, make certain numbers honorary in the sense that players need to earn them on a yearly basis. e.g. 11, 22, 26, 31, et.al. for football, Tessa's 15 for WHKY, etc. Multiple generations and teams are honored that way.
