My nephew was a first generation wrestler. He made it to PA States (2nd District 11 and Regionals) his junior year. He ended it up with 98 victories in about 3 seasons. He lost his first semester his freshman year when he transferred from Pius to Bangor. He then lost his late December and January Senior year for a discipline issue. Bangor got mad that he was working out with Blair Academy in addition to going to Bangor practice. In addition, he got himself in a little trouble. He probably would have had 120 victories in his career. He was first generation but his parents were very supportive of him and did travel to tournaments when possible . During his youth he beat Quinten Wright and Ed Ruth. 🤔
My nephew's son just won U8 65lb PJW PA States in Harrisburg today. He met Levi and Josh at an autograph table . I'll try to post picture of them.

OkSt will be great competition in maybe 2 years. Next year they bring in Ross at HWT and the Raneys. They return 116 points. Maybe one of the Raneys can go 149, beat out Swiderski, and score a few more points. But at a lot of weights they topped out last year and won’t get more next year.

PSU returns 155 and will be stronger IMO.

2028 will be interesting.

Not sure I get this for Kerk unless Gwiz is still hanging around Cornell.

Big win for Dellagatta though.
I know he had signed with a MMA development company. Whatever he decides to do I hope we get to see him in action sometime soon. I don't know if he simply doesn't have any interest in RAF or if they haven't offered him but I've been waiting for him to complete again. He needs to beat Hendrickson to put him back in his place. 🙂

Hope that RAF signing Steveson doesn't back-burner Kerk for a while.

An accomplished man, and great man! Committed to giving back to his university and society! You don't have to be from an Ivy league school or some other blue bood school to go on a space mission, and an important one at that.

Link: Artemis II Astronaut was once a two-sport college athlete (Including Wrestling)

“The hardest thing that I’ve ever chosen to do in my life was walking in space,” Glover told Cal Poly president Jeffrey Armstrong, per The Athletic. “The second-hardest thing that I ever chose to do in my life was wrestling practice with Lennis Cowell,” Cal Poly’s longtime wrestling coach.

P.S.: Sorry, copied from the article, and couldn't figure out how to remove the bold font.
