Just saw something about Joey Blaze being in the portal with 1 year left of eligibility. This an April fools thing or real? It's about the only transfer in I could see making sense but even then, idk that it really would unless messenbrink goes up and IDK if he would or should even do that.
I do not want Feldman, insignificant jump in points from 2nd year Cole IMO if any at all especially with Feldman’s injury history.
The Mirasola brothers couldn’t be less entitled kids, they want a fair shot to compete. Bringing in a guy to take Cole’s spot is a huge slap in the face.

That would be great for 1 year. Let Cole and Brown put on the weight for a year while still in the room getting better. Fieldman would definitely Improve as Well. Feldman needs to reach out to Rocco. Rocco said it was the best decision he ever made by coming to PSU. Snyder as Well.

Two years ago Feldman beat Cole handily. Last year Cole beat him in SV. I would expect Cole to add another 5-7 pounds and level jump again

Aside from Gable Steveson, nearly every heavyweight needs a year or two of competition to get to the top of the podium. Look at how many heavies were seniors this year. Remember Kerk struggled initially, too? I’m optimistic on Cole.

Rocco lost one match all year, and was a big ten champ. He upped his winning % and bonus % in a more difficult field.

Mathematically they would lose. Only had 4 champs, which means they would lose 6. Even with bonus from mesenbrink, they would still lose.

I have my doubts that he wins an individual title during his time at PSU, but I 100% agree that the talk about getting a transfer HWY to take Mirasola's spot is ridiculous, and it has been nonstop all season. Feldman and Mirasola are pretty close right now, except Feldman is two years older with a long injury history. If Trumble or Bastida still had some eligibility, maybe; even then, probably makes sense to stick with Mirasola.

Tech have a top recruit (Burton) coming on at 165 next year. He redshirted this year and looked decent for a true freshman
In 2025 Burton beat Asher 2x, by fall and 6-1. He also beat Nick Singer 11-5 and lost to Henckel 5-3.
He's probably an upgrade over Church ... or maybe he goes 174? His 2025 HS year was at 172.
That first one against Asher, Burton gassed Asher. The second one he just looked technically superior at that point in their careers.

Glad to not see any Nits in the portal. Hope it mostly stays that way, thought I’ve been happy to root for guys like BearClaw and Evans. The fact that so many stay, even when R16 to AA caliber and not starting, seems to indicate guys like to be there.
Don't think he staying at 65. His natural weight is 174. He would get worn out at the end of tournaments because of the weight cut

The only way I would like this was if Feldman gets whatever ailment fixed and sits next year getting a medical. Send him in 28 and Oly shirt both Mirasola’s then Feldman and Barr would graduate and both Mirasola’s could be in the lineup their final 2 years of eligibility.
