While I first started pulling for Tottenham & Dortmund when I was in middle school, I couldn’t really follow them until I got to college. While I believe that Pro-Rel is a great system, I’ve never had to experience it. Dortmund was last relegated in 72. It shall be interesting.
When I started watching Premier League games back in the mid 2000s, I always enjoyed the games that were played at White Hart Lane. They've only won two trophies since that time. I think that a club of their stature should've won more in that time. Also, it's incredible that a club that plays in one of the best stadia in all of world soccer now has a very realistic chance of being relegated. They obviously have been very mismanaged.

Some might say the Carabao cup was the least important trophy for us to obtain this season. Others, like myself might say WTF?!?!?! I love Mik, but c'mon already man.
If Arsenal had more time, they'd lose the Premier title this season too. However, there just isn't enough games left for City to overtake them, and I do give Arsenal credit for grinding out points. With that said, this Arsenal doesn't play great football. Rather, they do just enough to get points in a Premier League that really isn't that good this season.

I've read articles saying that the 1969 Mets were one of the luckiest championship teams ever. I must have watched 100 Met games that year. Same thing with the 1924 Senators, I don't know this for sure but will go to my grave believing that my grandfather Norm Roddy was at that game seven, no way he wasn't there. Read about it, crazy lucky. This year's Arsenal side will always be special.

Spurs hire their third coach this season, de Zerbi. Can he prevent relegation? 🙄😳🙁
I was just about to post that I would take no joy in the Spurs being booted from the EPL but I am a honest man, at least on this board. I can’t promise I won’t throw my head back and laugh with glee the moment I learn the Spurs got 86ed. Fair play, you have to admit.

On another note, if I am reading the English Championship League table correctly, Leicester City is in danger of relegation from the ECL. Crazy to see from a team that won the EPL not that long ago.

My theory is that they sold their souls to the devil for that title...in all my years of following spots, it's the most inexplicable/shocking/surprising result I've ever seen. Sure, there are upsets in individual games, or maybe even in a series...but the fact that Leicester City went through a full 38 game home/home besting Chelsea, Man U, City, Arsenal, Liverpool and the rest is still hard to process.

It will be very sad to see him go and he will be remembered as one of the greats in Liverpool, but his play has clearly dropped off. I'd love to see the stats, but it seems like he loses possession in the offensive end at a much higher rate than in the past.

If City is hammered like they should be, West Ham and Spurs will be safe.

Is this a realistic expectation? I try not to waste time hoping for pipe dreams.

Edit: on a whim I searched for the etymology of the term pipe dream. It’s the opium pipe.

I'd unload the bank account to make a play on under 25 points. The 60 points gets a lot of clicks and listeners, but the chances of it happening are slim and none, and I'd bet heavily against slim.
Potentially stupid question: would this impact the race for this year’s EPL championship?

Theoretically, yes. And it would send Man City to the Championship next season.
About my post earlier where I was squishy on whether or not I’d welcome Tottenham being relegated: my reaction if this happened to Manchester City would be “Hell yeah!”

Oh they are pie in the sky but 100+ counts they fought for years. Everton self reported and had 10 points knocked down to 6 for basically bad bookkeeping. City flat out lied and hid things. I get the skepticism as it seems the folks that break the rules always get away with it. I’m hoping to be surprised and they get hammered.
