OT: With golf season coming up for you northerners, what do you do to prepare for the season? Any special drills or routines you go through?

no need, I'm already a better driver than Tiger.
I get my voice ready by yelling "Four!" over and over again until I feel like I'm ready to adequately warn the other golfers.
Hit the range and start with sand wedge and work my way up to driver

ProStaff Oranges were the easiest to keep track of in the snow. I think Jerry Pate won a tour event with a Prostaff Orange.
I have a beer and wait for the snow to melt.

Did you ever hit a ball from the driving range at WPCC past Lincoln Dr?
Get there an extra 15 minutes early for my first round for some extra putts…and the one time I’ll play a breakfast ball off the first tee if needed (assuming I don’t have time to hit balls beforehand).
People are "to stupid" to have gone to Penn State and play golf in a tornado and severe thunderstorm warning area.
I hit the driving range to work on the new improved swing I anticipate having after working out and studying golf videos during the winter.

By my last range session I visit an ATM and put away some cash in my golf bag in anticipation of the numerous golf bets I will lose in the upcoming season. Mr. Peale would endorse the ATM trip after watching me on the range.
