Why does Yaxel Lendeborg keep lying?

First the $7-$9 million comments, which was obviously false before Pope even directly refuted it. Then he says in a press conference that when he entered the portal he wanted Alabama to recruit him and they didn't, which his coach refutes in the very same media event. The third clip isn't a lie, just another weird media moment, which the poster correctly calls out as ridiculous.

Obviously a talented player, and I wanted him at UK more than any other player in the portal last year. But he could use some media training at least, and could stand to do some growing up. Maybe some arrested development after being in college into his mid-twenties.

Players are rejecting pope and taking less money elsewhere though. I don’t think it’s a 5 million dollar difference but I wouldn’t be surprised if players took 1 million less to go elsewhere instead of playing for someone incapable of developing a lottery pick based on 11 years of coaching to tell us that

I’m not sure it’s true that players are taking less to go elsewhere. I think this is being created falsely in the media by certain people and pumped by the haters.
It’s certainly true. 1 million dollars for 1 year is nothing compared to the big picture. I hate to say it, but if I was a big time recruit, and had lottery aspirations, I’m going to go play for a coach who has proven he can help me reach my dream. That isn’t pope

Can you show us the certainty of it? Like is this your opinion that you think it’s certain or you know for a fact because you’ve actually seen proof because it sounds like an opinion. Also which team is your actual team?

He means Arizona OR another team......a team that hasn't won it. Bad take, Glenn.
I'm an accountant so no English major but I think the word else in the sentence is confusing. I don't think he should use else and then put on a qualifier. That's okay, it turned this thread into a 1997 championship game.

And I may very well be wrong.

That 97 team brings back bad memories. Kentucky was the best team in college basketball that year and left a national championship on the floor.
As I recall, Arizona got red hot and beat 3 number one seeds? They were the ONLY team that could have beaten us in the FF and it took a bad game from us for them to do it.

If a college kid really turned down 7 million to play for one year at a school but for less to play for particular coach, he’s probably too stupid to be in college.

Simon says Championship. F Billy Packer.
Billy Packer is my least favorite so-called commentator of all time. He never hid his disdain for Kentucky. Your post brought back a vivid memory. I also remember the UK/IU game that he called in which he sounded like a drunk IU fan sitting in a bar yelling at the TV. It was THAT bad. The game that got him fired (or forced to resign) was KU beating up UNC and he called the game "over" in the first half because he was so angry that an ACC team was being whipped.

He brings back some memories, for sure. On a good note, I was sitting in The Alamo Dome when we beat Utah and the crowd started chanting SEC SEC after the game......and then it took a turn and "We want Packer" started echoing through the arena. It was wild !!!

If you are a big time recruit you could play for dollar general university and still get drafted.

Anthony Epps shot to send it to overtime is largely forgotten but it was one of the most clutch shots in UK history.

I quit smoking (cigarettes) 2 days after this game.
I’ve been quit for a long time too. But, if I make it that far, I want a carton of Tareytons for my 80th birthday.

We opened the 97 season with a sobering loss to Arizona. We had no answer for their guards.

Miles Simon and Mike Bibby dominated us.

Where is your proof? I mean, you must have some to say it's certainly true, right? Right?

Face it the guy is a liar and looks like he has lied so much he cannot keep track of the lies versus the truth.

Where is your proof? Neither of us have it, so you can have your opinion and I can have mine. Good day sir.
You said certainly....I on the other hand didn't even voice an opinion either way. Maybe you don't know what certainly means? It implies you know something with no doubts. To be certain about something I would hope you have definitive proof. Why else would you be certain?
