I would put the chances at maybe 5%. Can’t do it in the fall because it would ruin the field during football season. It’s too cold after football season.
Not if they put the whole mat and surrounding area on raised platform - a lot fewer contact points with the turfI would put the chances at maybe 5%. Can’t do it in the fall because it would ruin the field during football season. It’s too cold after football season.

Ruin the field, really???I would put the chances at maybe 5%. Can’t do it in the fall because it would ruin the field during football season. It’s too cold after football season.
Since the Beav’s upper decks are in the ends rather than the sides, reasonable viewing could be had for a half full stadium if they put the mat in or near the end zone and sold tickets for that endJust like with hockey, there will not be a good seat in the house if they wrestle at Beaver Stadium. All seats are too far away for a hockey game. Imagine how little a mat would look on the field.
Why not? We have already taken their damn soulsIf they ever do this it will be first Saturday in November, before a football game and will be done to take the single match attendance record from Iowa.
I am OK doing it for that reason only. Otherwise it is just a publicity stunt. Do it once, luck out and have a nice day and put 70,000 in there for the match. Do it against Lehigh. Pennsylvania, wrestling truly does live here! Why not? We have already taken their damn souls![]()
Define reasonable.Since the Beav’s upper decks are in the ends rather than the sides, reasonable viewing could be had for a half full stadium if they put the mat in or near the end zone and sold tickets for that end
Unobstructed, and within binocular range!Define reasonable.. Even the suite level at the PPL Center vs Lehigh was too far. But hell, free suite!!!
Considering Iowa wrestled OkieSt in Kinnick Stadium on November 14, 2015 and had a record attendance of 42,000 plus, the idea is very much feasible.Annnnnnd, what happens if it’s all scheduled, ready to rumble, but the rumble is a thunderstorm?
No way out of it.
Not moving the suggested 70,000 into BJC.
IMO, interesting idea, but not feasible.
… and presumably the other tickets refunded.Considering Iowa wrestled OkieSt in Kinnick Stadium on November 14, 2015 and had a record attendance of 42,000 plus, the idea is very much feasible.
The backup plan for inclement weather was to move the event indoors, obviously with only a fraction of the tickets good if the event moved.

It's Penn State. Tickets refunded, parking not.… and presumably the other tickets refunded.
The first time I was at PPL Center was the 20-19 (I think) PSU victory.Unobstructed, and within binocular range!
Similar to upper seats in BJC, or even Rec Hall…
Farther from the action than the TV cameras …
Feeling the vibe/atmosphere of being there in person is what makes attending better than watching on TV!
The actual view isn’t better unless you have close to matside seats.
That’s more than enough of a reason to do it. And there’s no way that either Iowa or Ok State can beat the attendance record without spending many millions on a new or upgraded stadium! If they ever do this it will be first Saturday in November, before a football game and will be done to take the single match attendance record from Iowa.
