I said earlier they don’t call games as tight in the tournament. Nebraska only had 3 fouls in the 2nd half prior to Berke having to foul on the breakaway dunk. We also spent the 2nd half settling (and missing) 3’s. We didn’t put them in position to have to foul us.
Yeah, there some fairly blatant fouls.

Mast has really not been playing that great today, but someone needs to check who the refs put money on… it really feels like Iowa is playing full contact basketball and getting away with it… I’ve counted at least 2 tackles for Io-a at this point
24 of Nebraska’s 32 second half shot attempts were 3-pointers. Kind of hard to draw fouls when you’re not attacking the rim. The refs also became wise to Nebraska players kicking out/flailing on 3 point shots, in an attempt to draw a cheap foul.

You think guys playing that number of minutes in a physical game is a conditioning issue?
Yes, when shots by the same guys were falling in first half, but hitting the front of the rim in second half…that’s tired “dead” legs.

It’s obvious you didn’t watch the game Mast and Hoiberg were 0-10 from the arch and that happened to be their worst shooting performance of the year and it happened in the Sweet 16.

Herky’s made the shots in the last 4 minutes that we didn’t.

Without question I seen a lot more fouls than just one foul in that second half is ridiculous.

Our inability to drive the lane plus poor shooting from Lawrence, Hoiberg and especially Berke just killed us. Assuming Berke returns, I would have him work with a shooting coach 16 hours a day 7 days a week. Right now he's an offensive liability when others can't get open or are just not shooting well. Despite his efforts on defense he creates a 5 on 4 situation when we have the ball. In addition we've got to do a better job recruiting the bench players for next year. You can't expect a team to play with 7 guys night in/out for almost the entire season.

So, are you saying that Iowa fouled Mask and Hoiberg on all those 3 point attempts, thus making them miss? To claim that Nebraska lost due to the officials is just false, loser talk.

Refs did not cost Nebraska the game, but they did let stuff go. A huge possession in the second half was when the Huskers were up 5 and had the ball, Pryce literally gets pushed to the ground near half court with the ball. No foul, turnover and Iowa cuts it to 3 instead of us going up 7-8. Big momentum swing there.

Yeah you aren't going to win many tournament games scoring 25 in the second half. The Achilles Heel of this team was lackluster offensive halves throughout the year. Outside of Sandfort the rest of the offense was hit or miss.

Exactly. I HATE it when the refs turn the game in to a football game. We all knew that’s the only way Iowa would beat us is if the refs “let em play”. That was BS.

I said last week that we are very dependent on how games are officiated as we just aren’t as physical as some other teams. When the zebras swallowed their whistles as the game went on, we were screwed.

I’ve not insinuating that. You have two learn how comprehension,
Sorry you didn’t learn that in school.

I mentioned that during the game. Pryce got mugged with the ball at half court which should have been a foul. Instead it was a turnover that herkie turned into two points. But I’m hardly going to blame the officials on this loss. Our guys simply didn’t shoot the ball well in the second half. Bless Mast and Berke for their contributions to the program. But we need to do better than them. It wouldn’t bother me if Berke also was done here.

People laughed last week when I said McCollum is the basketball version of Cignetti....but unfortunately he is. He's won at every level. Hopefully he doesn't stay like Cignetti, and instead goes to coach a blue-blood in another conference.

I watched the Houston-Illinois game after. It was very physical and called that way except in situations like Pryces you described. In those situations when someone had the ball hard contact was always called.

If he “literally gets pushed to the ground” that would have been called a foul. I don’t believe your rendition of that particular play.

I was pure gold watching Iowa lose yesterday especially the last 5 minutes throwing up bricks missing 3 pointer after 3 pointer, btw where was that douche that celebrated after his three pointer against Florida or his dunk at the end of the Nebraska game? typical punk assed Iowa player

Complete no show yesterday. 9 minutes, no points. Not sure what happened to him.
