The Episode "Hush" is one of the most clever and well done and flat out creepy things I've seen on TV.
A bit off topic, but the creepiest thing I ever saw was Faces of Death. How does it compare?

Yeah, for an episode without any dialogue for most of it, was pretty brilliant, especially considering it was known for its witty dialogue (talking about actual witty dialogue and not the fast talking, think it's witty dialogue like for say "Gilmore Girls.").

Cordelia giving Willow the once over and saying...

"Willow, nice dress. Good to know you've seen the softer side of Sears!"

But for a show that's not set in reality, it handled issues like death, rape, etc more realistically/evoking the emotional trauma than most "real -life" dramas, such as the episode evolving around the death of Buffy's mother.

Absolutely agree.
The "Gentlemen" and their "footman" were just flat out creepy as hell.
I watched the entire series but I didn't like it as much after it switched from the WB to UPN.
Although the later episodes with Gloria were pretty good.
Juliet Landau as Drusilla was genius
Emma Caulfield as the former demon Anya was pretty funny as well.
It's a series that doesn't get the credit it deserves.
