Hey, bankrupt Pittsburgh is doing what places like LA and SF do when they have big events by cleaning up the city for the NFL Draft, so that's government at work for you. The only problem is that a week after the Draft, the homeless encampments, graffiti and shootings will return. Potemkin Villages always are nice.
This was a while back. I'm thinking just before Joe passed. Actually, it was around 2000 when Bill Robinson wanted funding withheld unless Penn State played Pitt. It was dumb, without any legal basis and croaked on the vine.
That's fine if we get 2 to 1 home games. Playing them would cost PSU and taxpayers money.
