I said it was unnecessary but that's premature because I'm not sure if it's something he always does if so I will revisit

Just let it go son, it's not that big of a dealJust trying to understand what happened. Did Mitchell do this when he won his other Title? Is this something he's always done or is it new this year? You can think what you want but I'm actually being serious and trying to understand the situation better. It's not always what you think but you do you
Because the officiating was that bad.How Ohio State isn't running away with this poll is mind boggling. It wasn't too long ago I was told they were beating Penn State in a dual
Did Mitchell shake everyone's hand on the podium after Carr beat him? Or is only a gentleman when he wins?
I think you’re trying to be clever and play a game with the people on here. What’s not cool is that the people you’re playing your game with are typically the most respectful people posting here. That’s my opinion and I’m sticking with it.I can then form my opinion of the situation. I don't have all the facts yet
I'm actually not .I think you’re trying to be clever and play a game with the people on here. What’s not cool is that the people you’re playing your game with are typically the most respectful people posting here. That’s my opinion and I’m sticking with it.
It doesn’t matter if he always does it. He did it this time and Caliendo looked like an ***. Everyone except for Iowa fans and Bo Nickel agree.I said it was unnecessary but that's premature because I'm not sure if it's something he always does if so I will revisit
I hear that every yearBecause the officiating was that bad.
Unless that was going through Caliendo’s mind at that moment, why does that matter?Did Mitchell shake everyone's hand on the podium after Carr beat him? Or is only a gentleman when he wins?
“So dad, you haven’t answered my question, Does she always say thank you to everyone”So what's the answer to my questions ? Did he shake everyone's hand when he lost?
I'm a wrestling fan that's been stated by me over and over and I don't have a team . The last "team" I rooted for was Rutgers when I lived in NJ years ago
You would have some class, I am sure of it.Caliendo shook hands after the match ended. Maybe standing there and watching Mitch get the medal, again, was just really difficult and he didn’t feel the need to shake hands again. I am sure members of the board are giving it way more thought than Messenbrink. I know I have never lost on the biggest stage (or gotten to the biggest stage) so I have no idea how I would react.
At least we now know you are an elite wrestling fan.So what's the answer to my questions ? Did he shake everyone's hand when he lost?
I'm a wrestling fan that's been stated by me over and over and I don't have a team . The last "team" I rooted for was Rutgers when I lived in NJ years ago
Offhand, Perry-Evans and Churella-Hendricks were also worse calls. The ref and review official in Duke match.
Obviously many people including myself have commented the numerous issues about that decision. Some have said worst call ever at Nationals. I would think Jordan Oliver would disagree. His grab of a 2nd ankle against Steiber with no points awarded was in the finals. They ended up changing the rule.
Moving forward I would think that the officials will be told to signal 3 but allow action to continue with no whistle blown . On first break award the 3 even if pin takes place (No pin bonus point). They can review the original call to confirm without stopping the initial move .
Obviously the others would shake they had been done wrestling for hours. Caliendo was done for 15 min. And if it wasn't a look at me thing he does it while they're seated for 5 min before the awards stand. It doesn’t matter if he always does it. He did it this time and Caliendo looked like an ***. Everyone except for Iowa fans and Bo Nickel agree.
Agree to disagree. But all are at outrageous margins of terrible.Offhand, Perry-Evans and Churella-Hendricks were also worse calls.
Yeah I'm going with a solid hell no to this one.I would tend to give the poor kid the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he just wasn’t in the mood to hug or shake hands or whatever. Sometimes a guy is not in the mood to give an autograph. It’s the same thing. Nobody is obligated to give their time to somebody else. They might not be in the mood.

Ask the Iowa boardI thought Penn st fans would know the answer.
Looks likes I gotta go ask some people because it's not on video that I know of
It's not like Mitchell banged his GF or something.Caliendo shook hands after the match ended.
Why is it a problem though?Obviously the others would shake they had been done wrestling for hours. Caliendo was done for 15 min. And if it wasn't a look at me thing he does it while they're seated for 5 min before the awards stand.
So shaking hands before and after the match isn't enough now in wrestling we now gotta do it while getting awards as well?
That’s where I’m at. Mitchell beat me a bunch of times in wrestling. Now I won’t shake his hand. It's not like Mitchell banged his GF or something.
I haven't said one word prior to criticize Caliendo. There's no need to criticize him. But there's also certainly no need to defend him. If a man offers you his hand in respect, you'd better have a reason to refuse, not just "I'm in a mood because I lost."
You just answered your own question. I dont feel it was out of respect, jmo. Ive never seen anyone walk the podium shaking everyones hand. It's not like Mitchell banged his GF or something.

Oh, so what, Mitch likes to shake hands out of passive-aggression? Get real. You just answered your own question. I dont feel it was out of respect, jmo. Ive never seen anyone walk the podium shaking everyones hand.
Caliendo is a cheap shot artist no doubt. Mitchell is calculating. He is either not situationally aware or he was drawing a response imo.Oh, so what, Mitch likes to shake hands out of passive-aggression? Get real.
You said enough in your first sentenceCaliendo is a cheap shot artist no doubt. Mitchell is calculating. He is either not situationally aware or he was drawing a response imo.
You said enough in your first sentence
I think you’re addressing the wrong point. All seven had something in common with Mitch. They were all AAs for 2026 and I think Mitch was just welcoming everyone to join him on the podium.Oh, so what, Mitch likes to shake hands out of passive-aggression? Get real.
7 other men on that podium. All 7 had something in common: they are all inferior wrestlers to the champ. Only one had a problem with it.
When the horse dies, dismount my friend!Obviously the others would shake they had been done wrestling for hours. Caliendo was done for 15 min. And if it wasn't a look at me thing he does it while they're seated for 5 min before the awards stand.
So shaking hands before and after the match isn't enough now in wrestling we gotta do it while getting awards as well? And if not it's a bad look? I can't believe this is a story and Antrell throwing his bands at Landon isn't guess Antrell doesn't where the right singlet for that to be a story. Regardless of results Iowa still moves the wrestling needle and people won't allow it any other way
Yes he shook everyone's hand including carr who also received a side bro hugSo what's the answer to my questions ? Did he shake everyone's hand when he lost?

They got 6th sense and 6th place confused.Does the Ferrari family have a 6th Place gene that causes consi forfeits?
An opinion formed with a single data point. Thata boy.Did Mitchell shake everyone's hand on the podium after Carr beat him? Or is only a gentleman when he wins?
Yep, that's what you are doing.Never posted on Ohio St boards. But I have and would on 34 yes. It seems to be a big deal currently so I'm just trying to understand the situation and get all the information I can
The dual was Ohio State's coming out party. Their NCAA performance probably shouldn't be perceived as surprising, just telling. How Ohio State isn't running away with this poll is mind boggling. It wasn't too long ago I was told they were beating Penn State in a dual
Or perhaps, not having COTY Tan Tom cornering them at nationals revealed just how masterful he is at coaching. The dual was Ohio State's coming out party. Their NCAA performance probably shouldn't be perceived as surprising, just telling.
I will go with the 99.999% chance that he was being a baby, I like those odds.Obviously the others would shake they had been done wrestling for hours. Caliendo was done for 15 min. And if it wasn't a look at me thing he does it while they're seated for 5 min before the awards stand.

that was my vote. They should have at least finished second. But Tom Ryan gonna Tom Ryan. How Ohio State isn't running away with this poll is mind boggling. It wasn't too long ago I was told they were beating Penn State in a dual
