Off - Loss - Campbell gets into a fight with the press in the off weekend press conference
Purdue - Win - Last minute interception by a DB that no one had heard of at this time last year saves a sure upset. Fanbase not happy. But, it's a win.
@Washington - Loss Campbell gets fired on the tarmac at Harrisburg International (because the runway in State College is not long enough for the plane) and is forced to Uber back to State College Terry Smith takes over again
MInnesota - Win - We are goin' Bowlin! Back to da Bronx!
Rutgers - Win - We Love Terry signs show up at Beaver Stadium.

How do you know what the schedule is going to be like when we don’t know who the players are for many of the teams we’re playing?
I’d be comfortable with 8-4, pretty happy with 9-3 and above that would be a very pleasant but welcome surprise
Shouldn't be with our schedule but we lost to Northwestern and UCLA last year so it didn't work then either
11-1 or 10-2 with a good pass rush, no pass rush 9-3 or 8-4. The young pass rushers are the big question mark.
Lack of interest? Northwestern in opening there new stadium and it's a Friday night game. PSU should win but look what happened last year.

Hoping 10-2 or better. I think at home we can beat USC who is not great playing in the east plus it could be our W.O. Don't see us beating Cheatagin nor UDub on the road. Good shot to get in the playoff.

Seems about right. So many unknowns coming into this season. New staff, new schemes, new players.....just not sure what to expect to be honest.
Yeah, I'd be pretty disappointed with 8 wins or less considering the schedule. If we brought in Rocco to be an 8 win QB, id just question why we paid him what we likely did and why, considering his experience, he wouldn't have opted for somewhere else. Our talent didn't really perform last year, wasn't bought in, and suffered a coaching change and we still won 7 games. If campbell is a better coach, we should expect 9 wins. I see 9-3 as perfectly acceptable and achievable.
The scheduling argument is a joke....we may be one of the weaker teams in the conference. PSU lost it's best 2 DL, decent part of its secondary, part of the OL, 2 top RB's. PSU is breaking in a new scheme, new QB, and I'm not sure the talent that was brought over = more wins.....not sure how some are so sure of this team winning 9 next year. 7 wouldn't exactly be a shock.
