Coming from York, where can I pick up a train north of DC? Does the train go straight to Capital One Arena or need to switch or walk? Thank you!
The second game is scheduled to start at 9:45 pm Friday, which means MARC trains aren’t a viable option if you want to catch both games, the last MARC Penn Line train out of Union Station would be at 10:55. Metro closes at 2am. Greenbelt Metro Station has 3400 parking spaces and there will be a ton of fans taking the train, it will be safe. An alternative could be the Shady Grove Station, the Red Line will take you to the arena. Lots more parking at Shady Grove, 5500 spaces.
there is a train, you can pick it up many places. It lets you off at DC Metro station which is around a 15 minute walk on F street to Capital one if I remember correctly. But you could snap an uber or go red line metro to chinatown
Each of Red Green Yellow lines goes straight to the Arena, you don’t even have to go outside to access the Arena. Latest train is around 2am but it varies by station. Say 1:30 am to be safe. AI is your friend. Thanks LJ. I am wanting to avoid any transfers or a lot of walking in an area I am unfamiliar with, so thinking Green line right into Gallery-Chinatown (right into the arena?)? I think the northern most station for that is Greenbelt?
What is the latest train out of Gallery-Chinatown (presumably back to Greenbelt)?
The last Friday night Amtrak train from Union Station to Baltimore Penn Station is 11:56.You can take the Amtrak to the main station then walk about 6 blocks. Just did it last month.
There are a ton of bars and restaurants in the area, as one would suspect. Also, the National Portrait Gallery is a block away, closes at 7pm. Well worth a visit, admission is free.Seeing doors open only an hour before gametime (6:10 pm), that seems kind of late to me.
Good suggestion! There are a ton of bars and restaurants in the area, as one would suspect. Also, the National Portrait Gallery is a block away, closes at 7pm. Well worth a visit, admission is free.
