He came straight down on his head. I think he lost feeling in his arms or something like that.
I've always wished ESPN would show the national anthem on TV, but I guess we can be too "patriotic".
Hepner it looked like he had a choice of protect his head or fight the takedown and he chose the latter.

I thought it was a head injury to Hepner. On the sequence before the stoppage, his head banged twice on the mat.

I'm not sure, but obviously glad the kid is OK. But that was certainly an interesting situation.
Mesenbrink is really cranking the arm bar. I'm surprised Hepner took so long to tilt. He must have really loose shoulders.
He landed straight down on his head (hard) on a takedown attempt. I'm sure he had a stinger where your arms get tingly or go numb for a minute or two. He wasn't faking that.

Mess kept getting his legs caught. An odd match for him no doubt.
Felt like Mitch took it easy on him. He really slowed his pace in the third.
MM should have taken top in the 3rd, he'd have turned him again.
