He also came to cash checks bet he was good at that“JQ came to Kentucky to chew bubblegum and to be a quitter, and he’s all out of bubblegum!”
It wasn't a bust. JQ is fine. He just quit. Pope got owned. He's not coming back and, if he did, not sure it would make any difference. Pope rolled the dice on JQ and it was a bust. Bad return on investment.
Th,e argument at this point, and for quite some time really, isn't about whether he would make a difference. At all. It's about whether Pope has the balls to call JQ out and remove him from the roster for the stunt he's pulling.People need to stop counting JQ as one of the injured players. He came here already injured. The staff knew it, and they knew it would be January before he might possibly return. Anyone count JQ as a starter or was counting on him making a difference after rehabbing a surgically repaired knee was in fantasy land, and it sure seems we have several who live there. So stop acting like we lost something we never had.
For what/ he's 5 more fouls at best/ he's been a Total waste of money/ Agent & Dad ain't gonna let it happen/ could got 2 Good Players instead with go Total Risk & Damn sure No Reward! If he comes back, watch out.
This basketball idiot just looked up his career statistics and found eight rebounds per gameWhat UK lacked JQ had if he had played. Interior defense and offensive rebounds. If anyone can’t see that your a basketball idiot and you have no opinion
Last year‘s national champion lost their point guardWhat top teams this year have had season ending injuries to 3 key players? And again I frankly don’t care what other fan bases think.
You’re an idiot. Do you even watch the games or do you just hate all things Pope? This basketball idiot just looked up his career statistics and found eight rebounds per game
I watched all of the games this year. I can also read and look up statistics, apparently unlike you. Your accusation of me hating all things pope is irrelevant and unsupported. You’re an idiot. Do you even watch the games or do you just hate all things Pope?
Not true. There probably is still some swelling, but that is a perfectly NORMAL thing for players who’ve had an ACL repair to deal with (I had my ACL surgery over 30 years ago and still have routine swelling after hard workouts). It’s not that big a deal. Most players just choose to play through it. JQ chose otherwise.Hearing about his knee swelling and him “wanting” to play is so old now. Like I’ve said before if his knee is swelling after all this time, he has major knee issues still. If that’s the case he won’t be at the combine or summer league. We shall see.
He made an honest effort to play. If not for the way Sharpe and Cal played us, this wouldn't be nearly as questioned. Sometimes kids aren't liars, sometimes they really did hurt themselves coming back after injury. We did Have him on the court in the exact time frame Pope had said all along. If this were Peterson or Boozer and one had missed part of the season and then actually played the half the season, you would be hailing their coach for being brilliant for bringing the player in. You act like Pope was good with paying him to sit the whole season the kid got hurt.People need to stop counting JQ as one of the injured players. He came here already injured. You don't know that. It's an excuse to blame Pope for something elseIt wasn't a bust. JQ is fine. He just quit. Pope got owned.
Florida? Boogie Fland is their PG.Last year‘s national champion lost their point guard
That’s my thoughts, I know swelling is normal but I’d think with the medical care he gets he could play after all this rest. Not true. I guarantee you the “swelling” will magically stop being an issue for him next month when it’s time to work out for NBA scouts.
He averaged 5/game for us. Considering his size compared to at least 8 other guys in the floor that’s nothing to brag about. Hell Noah always manages 2-3 rebounds in his short stints of play. JQ may be an awesome individual off the court, but he quit on his team and that is undeniable. You’re an idiot. Do you even watch the games or do you just hate all things Pope?
RightHe will be primed and ready for first day of draft workouts.
Really? What 3 guys are injured on Houston, Arizona, Michigan, Florida, duke, Iowa State, UConn and St Johns?Injuries affect everyone, though. We’re just about the only ones who make a big deal about them. (At least when talking to other fanbases who note how much Kentucky fans whine about injuries)
What you mean is, "people need to stop counting JQ as an injured player, because it hurts my agenda"People need to stop counting JQ as one of the injured players. He came here already injured. Yes…. Idiots do exist…Are people really holding out hope he is returning?
Interesting. Explain your fear?JQ is going to hurt our future recruiting efforts, coaches will use him as another example against Mark Pope.
Pope says no finally
LMFAO UK is the most injured basketball program in the last 12/15 years of any program in the country and it’s NOT remotely close! That’s not an opinion, it’s a fact.Injuries affect everyone, though. We’re just about the only ones who make a big deal about them. (At least when talking to other fanbases who note how much Kentucky fans whine about injuries)
You are so very right. I'm 77 and bleed blue. I have never heard or don't remember any other team having this many injuries in like a 5 year period. Unreal.LMFAO UK is the most injured basketball program in the last 12/15 years of any program in the country and it’s NOT remotely close! That’s not an opinion, it’s a fact.
Watched a KSR YouTube video a year or two ago. They had charted all our injuries over the past several years. They charted them by: starters, top rotational pieces and lower rotational pieces. It was incredible the difference between UK and the next most injured team. Like I said, not even close. You are so very right. I'm 77 and bleed blue. I have never heard or don't remember any other team having this many injuries in like a 5 year period. Unreal.
