There absolutely needs to be a rule that if you don't finish .500 in your conference then you aren't eligible for an at-large. Who the hell cares that you played 15 Q1 games and won5 of them when you lose 10. Plus those teams always lose some dog games too but all anyone focuses in is 5 Q1 wins because it pushes their narrative. It's garbage. Might as well let the AP choose the field because we know they're only looking at W/L record
Joe lunardi was on PTI yesterday and stated if they are going to expand, which he doesn’t want to, that it needs to be to 80 teams so that there is a first 4 for each quadrant. Those teams in the first four of each quadrant need to be bubble teams that no conference champion should be in the first 4 and that no team with a losing conference record should be allowed a bid at all. A conference champion from the ACC to the Southland should have an automatic seat in the main bracket

this was his words and I am a thousand percent with him on this.

I agree that conference champions should not be forced to play a play-in game which you always end up with 4 teams battling it out for 2 #16 seeds which are always AQs. And I've been saying for years if you can't go at least .500 in your conference, how in the world can you claim you're one of the best teams in the country? Those teams are actually literally riding the coattails of the top teams in their conference.

It's also pebbled glass which is supposed to be better on the traction and it has built in cushioning so it's supposed to be better on the knees and ankles. Some players have complained that the floor is giving them headaches. I suppose they're using the gray because it's not wood grain and it's neutral.
My suggestion would be that if the game is really boring, maybe a blowout, they could show old Seinfeld reruns on the court to keep people's interest.

I've always hated that play in games include the 11 seeds. The play in game should be the last eligible teams trying to qualify for the main bracket. It should always be for the 16th seed. As it sits now you are saying these teams are better than 20 other teams (seeds 12-16) but the team who loses all of a sudden isn't better than those 20 teams.

No, we're saying those teams have earned their way into the bracket by winning their conference tournament, not because Old Joe knows the AD at Auburn and is friends with Bruce Pearl so he's gonna throw Pearl's kid a bone and put him in. If that's the case, then at large teams should be restricted to the lowest seeds in the tournament. Might actually get some more interesting games that way instead of giving the #1 seeds a walk over. And a low conference champion as a 12 seed might actually have a chance at being competitive with the 5 seed. Would make the tournament way more interesting.

Wow. The Iowa State and Arizona game was a barn burner. Just a great game. I can see them having a rematch late in the NCAA tournament.
