15 days in Hawaii put me a little behind on starting this annual thread.

Those that are interested are welcome to post results, or videos of any of the championship matches. For those that haven't viewed this thread in past years, I try to set up a reply each weekend that tracks the recruits results that weekend. I then take that info and add it to the original post, so that the complete postseason for each recruit is listed in the original thread.

I should note, I'm having a little more trouble than is the norm in finding the results for past events, in states other than PA. If you see anything where I don't have exact results, and you can find them, don't hesitate to post the information.

Minor note - I believe the above are technically "commits".

I presume Sanchez, Howard, Hoare, Hutcherson, Hazelett and/or Karenbauer are possibly being recruited.

Perhaps @Psalm 1 guy can keep us updated with Sanchez here.

Not exactly. The 2026 guys are commits, as they've signed with PSU. The 2027 guys are verbals, as they can't sign with anybody at this time. I combine the two groups and call them recruits. Perhaps it's not a perfect designation, as some could read into it that I'm discussing anybody that PSU is recruiting, but it works.

While we, as fans, are always interested in guys that PSU is recruiting, or showing interest in, I don't include such wrestlers in this thread. If they verbal to PSU after the postseason, I go back in to this thread and add their postseason results, as the thread stays pinned atop the board until next year's postseason.

Jayden James doesn't like to wrestle much?

You'd think that if in your 3 matches to a District crown (your 4th district crown at that), if you had pins in 0:17, 1:03, and 0:37, you might (just maybe) win Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. But alas, that wasn't the case. Matthew Pagan, of Kearney, won the 113 title by: Quarters: win by forfeit, Semis: PIN, @ 1:07, Final: DEC, 2-0, and he won the MOW for the tournament. I wasn't there, so I don't know all the dynamics. But looking at things from afar, I do wonder how James didn't win the MOW.

Absolutely agree. Curious how he didn’t get it as well.

Maybe the same voting committee that voted for Big 10s awards?šŸ˜‰

This weekend ended the postseason for the PSU commits and verbals.

It was a very successful postseason for the PSU recruits.

Collectively, they won six State Titles, had one 3rd-place finish, and two 5th-place finishes.

I haven't looked too much for videos of their respective final matches. The PIAA matches are generally difficult to get a public copy of, as Flo controls them. If I find any, I'll add them. If you find any, please post them in the thread.

If any recruits verbal to PSU in the coming months, then I'll try to go back and add their postseason info to the thread.

Lastly, as mentioned previously, I did have trouble finding some of the early postseason info for the NY wrestlers. There used to be a NY Wrestling web site that would have such info, but it doesn't seem to be active anymore. If any of you find the info I'm missing, please post it in the thread as a reply, and I'll update the original post.

NY results are on Track, including sectionals (which appears to be the only qualifying event before states).

Soto finished 3rd at states. Lost 4-1 SV to the eventual champ in the semis. Teched the rest of the field without giving up a point.

Mangano won NY states with a 7-4 decision in the finals. Teched his way to the finals.

NCAA independent review contracted for decision?
