pound them into sand
7 champsSo a fun hypothetical:
If you had to choose only one as a betting prop, would you choose 7 champs, or 10 AAs?
Holy crap guys. Is it Thursday yet?

Someone should tell ESPN!
I think he's just pointing out that they will meet and hyping the matches. Not actually saying wow 6Does Kozak realize the the most likely probability was PSU and Oklahoma State being on the same side of the bracket in 5 of the weights? It's not really like 6 is something to be hyped up. It is one of by far the 3 most probable results (4,5,6). 4 of them won't hit until the semis, which is even more evidence that this is pretty ho-hum.
And listing a potential Vega-Davis semi as part of the hype? I'm going to preemptively thank FLO for making tOSU the mosted hated team for every college wrestling fan outside of Stillwater in short order. That will be a tall feat with PSU still winning NCs, but the thirst in Austin for all things Stilly Boy will soon make it so.
You new herePSU fans can't complain about any of these seeds!
Then why is the lead "PSU-OSU are on the same side of the bracket in 6 out of 10 weights?" Is that like practicing journalism for low-IQ readers?I think he's just pointing out that they will meet and hyping the matches. Not actually saying wow 6
I didn't take it the way you did. Not sure how others took it. But I also don't look for reasons to bash Flo not saying you do either but many doThen why is the lead "PSU-OSU are on the same side of the bracket in 6 out of 10 weights?" Is that like practicing journalism for low-IQ readers?
When I do something stupid, I usually Homer Simpson it and say "doh." I don't look for people to make excuses about why I did it. Also, I literally just praised FLO and Pyles in the other thread when others (just a couple) were bashing. I've also commended Kozak for coming on and defending things at times.I didn't take it the way you did. Not sure how others took it. We live in a logocentric society. Things are defined by what they are not. We have to discuss iowa because their losing is defined by our winningYou'll find a few Penn State football fans, mostly over 50, who still talk about Pitt even though they have been irrelevant for decades.
Iowas been passed by two of the OSUs and probably now by Va Tech. If they don't make some changes quickly at the top, they'll be the 21st century version of Pitt. As an Iowa hater (amateur, not paid) I hope the administration doesn't notice the downfall until it's too late. Similar to Pitt claiming 40K at football games while 15K attended, the actual attendence at Carver was closer to 6K.
So saying not saying you do either obviously meant nothing. I don't do burners never have. Even west2east I put my name from time to time I have never hidden on forumsWhen I do something stupid, I usually Homer Simpson it and say "doh." You are always saying "why so serious" to others, but when it comes to stuff you don't like your sense of humor disappears in a wink. This is a message board - if everything we posted was positivity and non-critical, it would be boring as hell and nobody would be on here. It's okay IMO to make fun of stuff on here. If I knew and saw Kozak, I'd say the same thing to him. Something like "who knew you were a stats major?????? Is @Wrestleknownothing your new burner handle?"
It's good practice to make fun of both your enemies and friends.
I actually just skim i hate reading. So I definitely missed thatThe wrestleknownothing was part of the stats major joke as they were both inside the quote marks - was not pointed at you.
I know, I know - reading comprehension is not your thing (see, a little poke never hurt anyone).
It's not just Davis-Vega. None of the semifinal matches would happen by seed (Spratley, Robideau, and Lockett are all 5's).Does Kozak realize the the most likely probability was PSU and Oklahoma State being on the same side of the bracket in 5 of the weights? How many different variations of the "OSU's path to knocking off PSU in 2027-8-9-30-1..." article do you think they will come up with? Hell, they are coming up with ones for this year when the only realistic ones involve a meteor and State College.

1 | Penn State | 200.5 |
2 | Oklahoma State | 125.5 |

7 champs though neither is a bet I would makeSo a fun hypothetical:

posted mine in the bracket discussion thread. Penn State 184.5, Ok St 114, Oh St 101. Iowa was 8thI did my first pass at brackets last night. The score it spit out is pretty much dead on to what I've been saying all season: PSU still wins by a lot, but Ok St slips into second ahead of tOSU with Iowa and Neb. far behind:
Team Standings 1Penn State 200.5 2Oklahoma State 125.5 3Ohio State 120 4Nebraska 83 5Iowa 82 6Iowa State 77 7Cornell 62 8Minnesota 61.5 9Lehigh 50 10Virginia Tech 48
I typically overestimate the number of bonus points across the board in this, so in reality, all of the scores should be a bit lower and I don't think PSU will hit 200, although it's possible, I guess.
I can see Nebraska getting 3rdanother curious seeding observation - looking at the top 3 ranked teams (PSU, Tosu, OSU), of the 30 wrestlers who will be competing, 84% of them (n=25) will be on the same side of a bracket with each other.
The fourth ranked team (NE) will have 50% of its 10 wrestlers (n=5) on the opposite side of the bracket from the wrestlers of the top 3 teams.
IF Davis were to meet Vega in the Semis it would mean he probably beat Drury, Hardy and Cornella to get there. He could finish no worse than 6th. Be a heck of a tournament for a 14 seed.Does Kozak realize the the most likely probability was PSU and Oklahoma State being on the same side of the bracket in 5 of the weights? I'll take a look at mine when I get a chance. I didn't put a ton of thought into it yet. Just wanted to get them done at first. The tiers in the standings appear to be:
1 (PSU)
2-3 (OSU, OSU)
4-8 (Neb, IA, IA St, Cornell, MN)
All of the rest
It's possible that Iowa could finish last in that tier in 8th, but I wouldn't bet on it. I have them with 6 AAs. This is what I got for them (in KYPSW format):
125(8) Dean Peterson (IOWA) 14-6 125: 8, 0 133(6) Drake Ayala (IOWA) 13-8 133: 7, 2.5 141(7) Nasir Bailey (IOWA) 14-7 141: 6, 2.5 149(15) Ryder Block (IOWA) 13-8 149: R12, 2 157157: No entry 165(3) Mikey Caliendo (IOWA) 18-4 165: 2, 3 174(5) Patrick Kennedy (IOWA) 18-4 174: 3, 1.5 184(7) Angelo Ferrari (IOWA) 11-3 184: 4, 0 197(27) Gabe Arnold (IOWA) 18-7 197: R16+, 0 285(8) Ben Kueter (IOWA) 9-7 285: R12, 0
Same here. It shows Finals Friday night on ESPN and then Finals again Saturday morning on ESPNUHas anybody else tried to set up recordings in advance on Xfinity? I was just trying but the schedule showing now appears to be be AFU. Their guide function is showing me finals on ESPN2 Friday night, for example.
