So a fun hypothetical:
If you had to choose only one as a betting prop, would you choose 7 champs, or 10 AAs?

Just realized if Jax WAS still in high school he would (?) be age-ineligibleā¦ā¦ canāt be over 19(?) and compete in PIAA, I believe ā¦

He would be eligible for PA states you can be 19. Bassett won PA and he's 19
Does Kozak realize the the most likely probability was PSU and Oklahoma State being on the same side of the bracket in 5 of the weights? It's not really like 6 is something to be hyped up. It is one of by far the 3 most probable results (4,5,6). 4 of them won't hit until the semis, which is even more evidence that this is pretty ho-hum.
And listing a potential Vega-Davis semi as part of the hype? I'm going to preemptively thank FLO for making tOSU the mosted hated team for every college wrestling fan outside of Stillwater in short order. That will be a tall feat with PSU still winning NCs, but the thirst in Austin for all things Stilly Boy will soon make it so. How many different variations of the "OSU's path to knocking off PSU in 2027-8-9-30-1..." article do you think they will come up with? Hell, they are coming up with ones for this year when the only realistic ones involve a meteor and State College.

I didn't take it the way you did. Not sure how others took it. But I also don't look for reasons to bash Flo not saying you do either but many do
When I do something stupid, I usually Homer Simpson it and say "doh." I don't look for people to make excuses about why I did it. Also, I literally just praised FLO and Pyles in the other thread when others (just a couple) were bashing. I've also commended Kozak for coming on and defending things at times.
You are always saying "why so serious" to others, but when it comes to stuff you don't like your sense of humor disappears in a wink. This is a message board - if everything we posted was positivity and non-critical, it would be boring as hell and nobody would be on here. It's okay IMO to make fun of stuff on here. If I knew and saw Kozak, I'd say the same thing to him. Something like "who knew you were a stats major?????? Is @Wrestleknownothing your new burner handle?"

It's not just Davis-Vega. None of the semifinal matches would happen by seed (Spratley, Robideau, and Lockett are all 5's).
another curious seeding observation - looking at the top 3 ranked teams (PSU, Tosu, OSU), of the 30 wrestlers who will be competing, 84% of them (n=25) will be on the same side of a bracket with each other.
The fourth ranked team (NE) will have 50% of its 10 wrestlers (n=5) on the opposite side of the bracket from the wrestlers of the top 3 teams.

I did my first pass at brackets last night. The score it spit out is pretty much dead on to what I've been saying all season: PSU still wins by a lot, but Ok St slips into second ahead of tOSU with Iowa and Neb. far behind:
I typically overestimate the number of bonus points across the board in this, so in reality, all of the scores should be a bit lower and I don't think PSU will hit 200, although it's possible, I guess.

IF Davis were to meet Vega in the Semis it would mean he probably beat Drury, Hardy and Cornella to get there. He could finish no worse than 6th. Be a heck of a tournament for a 14 seed.

Edit: So I have VT in that last group as well. Made a minor change this morning and it was enough to push MN above Iowa too. Note, I have very few bonus points throughout. That's the main thing I still need to look at.
