Iowa is a lock. Pay attention to what’s happening outside of Iowa City. Question is whether losing out drops them to a 10. I don’t think it will.
I'm starting to agree. Fortunately for us the bubble had a bad weekend. I think 10/12 of Lunardi's last 4 byes, last 4 in, and first 4 out lost this past weekend which helped Iowa from sliding. Hard to see them not making it at this point. A disaster scenario of a loss to oregon/Maryland then multiple bid steslers could push them to opening round in Dayton though

Thoughts? :)

Their quad 1 record is 4-12 (3 over ranked teams), so they have just as many quad 1 wins as Iowa has. Ohio State climbed to 30, so they became a quad 1 win. :)

NET of 38. 16-15 overall. I don't know.. That's really bubbly. I won't have a problem if they get in but they can't lose their first SEC tournament game. If they do, that puts them at 16-16.. I'd have a bit of an issue with giving an at large berth to a team that doesn't even have a winning record, regardless of their SOS. I don't like to give teams too much credit for simply losing to a bunch of good teams. Normally I'd prefer to see a good mid-major get the nod in this case.

Out of the 186 bracket veterans on Bracket Matrix this one is rated 7. (Jon Teitel).

Interesting because there's zero bias. He's *not* a B1G fan at all, his team is actually Arizona.

He has Iowa the first 9 seed. He also has Indiana sneaking in. Yea the bubble is soft for sure.

It would help if we win at least a couple in the tournament though.

Come on LETS GOOO

I was looking at worst at large records to make the tourney. I'd forgotten about this Michigan team:

2021-22 Michigan (17-14, 54.84); Reached the Sweet 16

The Wolverines started the season ranked in the top 10 but fell off from there, losing in the first round of the Big Ten tournament to drop to 17-14 overall. Getting a No. 11 seed, Michigan took down No. 6 Colorado State and No. 3 Tennessee to reach the Sweet 16. Though the run stopped there in a loss to No. 2 Villanova, Hunter Dickinson was clutch in the wins, combining for 48 points, 17 rebounds, five steals and five blocks.

Later today seeding will be mostly done except for last bubble teams. No more time left for movement. Committee needs 48 hours to complete a bracket and plan for contingencies. Just don’t see anyone jumping Iowa at this point. Might be locked into the 8/9 matchup. And frankly that’s been this teams whole vibe the entire year.

Yeah, I think we can pretty much expect to be on the 8/9 line.
