If Marcus and PJ win it this year they will definitely have earned it as I think those two weights have been the toughest this season. If Marcus and Davino meet again, I will be very interested to see what adjustments Marcus makes. Does he have the confidence to open it up? Also, should it go to TB, can Marcus find a way to defend that sit out/reach back and grab the head technique that Davino uses?

To think Penn State could legitimately have six finalists in a row is pretty mind boggling. The coaches may want to order some fluffier seat cushions so they can be comfortable during the Finals. Based on the draws and how all the Penn State guys have been wrestling recently, I am feeling good about this tournament.

It looks to me Davino strength is an issue for Blaze. I watched Davino through the tournament and he's very comfortable with tight neutral wrestling. Blaze likes to have some space. Davino is not a good match up for Marcus. I was hoping Davino was #1 with Forrest and Blaze hitting in Semis. Let Davino and Sidel beat each other up.
I do think the 3 point takedown has created a little more tentative wrestling when 2 very good defensive wrestlers compete. They both know 1 takedown is probably going to win it. Hence what we have seen in the 2 previous Blaze vs Davino matches.

Easier said than done but Marcus has to score a TD. Minus the brain fart of throwing a leg in, rideouts favor Davino and even if you have a good game plan, banking on ride outs is never a good idea.

Davino has also been closer to scoring takedowns and controlling center well so getting a stall point isn't exactly in the books.

Find a way Marcus ....

Im thinking about the end of last weeks Davino vs Blaze match. After the fast escape by Davino. Marcus went after some upper body stuff and what surprised me was that he actually had Davino off balance and missed that trip by just inches. I'm actually not ready to say that Davino is "stronger" than Blaze here. Davino was in deep, probably 3 times counting both matches and wasn't actually close to the takedown.

What I saw, in my opinion, was Davino using his shots as a time killer to keep the pace slowed down. The key this third time is PACE. Marcus has to create and take committed shots even if they don't work and he needs to bail out of them, because Marcus needs to control the pace in order to win against Davino. Whatever happens in this semi, I guarantee Jax will be firing non stop against Davino if Marcus doesn't.

Gotta risk it to get the biscuit Marcus. Let it fly.

The way, is pace. Don't change a thing about your style, up the pace of the match.

Davino is not stronger than Blaze. The problem is pace. Davino is shooting to get a leg and kill time and slow Blaze, and the match, way down. Blaze only needs to change one thing. The pace of the match.

For at least 7 weight classes (and probably 8), seeing the PSU wrestler on the same side as your school's dude:

Seidel can definitely beat Forrest. He was hammering him earlier and did something stupid. Got caught in a 7 point move. Then lost 12 to 11. Im picking him to beat Forrest. You have to know how to wrestle a certain style and he does.
I have him going to the Finals as well. I am happy we got Blaze but I was really hoping to get Seidel just because he's from my area. It is going to be incredibly tough for me if he and blaze make it lol.

Should be able to install a leather sectional sofa in the corner, in the 30 minutes of Mendez hype after 141.

Or consider the alternative: if ESPN wants to end with Mendez, then the first 6 matches are PSU.

ESPN will end with Jax if he makes the finals they will be hyping the #1 seed who should still be in HS all weekend. We are gonna hear it all weekend he should still be in HS

You guys have Iowa on the brain disease. Who cares what Iowa is doing 🤷. And they're still the #1 rival regardless of how it turns out because you guys can't stop thinking about them

Wow. Ohio State made a big jump in expected points! (53 points!)

Definitely COTY numbers!

Rumor has it that TaTo plans to intentionally suppress his numbers next season to set him up nicely for improvement and COTY honors for 2027-28 season.

Marcus had the opportunity of quick Re-Shots but never committed to them. Will see if Cael and Cody help make the adjustments. Wrestling someone like RBY in practice would be a Big help as well
