Basically. Clark, White, Smith, Cotton were upset.
Barbosa waa biggest win
Purely by seeds - Shawver, Olivieri and Pinto beat higher seeds but would really only say maybe Shawvers was an upset.
Hey Joey O lost. I don’t like the negativity. It’s about wrestling to your allocation. Give the kid credit basically first good wrestler he faced. He will be fine.
Caliendo from Iowa. At this point only a couple guys in each weight have been eliminated. All our guys are still going. Everyone is in the consolation bracket except Barbosa (who is into the semis).
Negativity? I say calling it like the match went. Hardy was never in danger of losing and dictated the entire match. I even made note that Hardy was seeded #2 and everyone knows he's a 3 time AA. Wrestling to your allocation? What does that even mean? Seed perhaps? That was tenth.
For the most part every guy is positioned where I expected them to be. Barbosa with a huge upset, Cotton probably lost a match he was favored going in. White has never been good and his 5-seed was ridiculous so not stunned he’s out.
The referee decision was totally wrong in the Smith match. Not sure how you award a takedown to a guy who was ruled taken down in SV thus ending the match.

Wrestling to your allocation…if your don’t understand that. SMH. It’s about getting to the ncaa championship. So if your so smart… I think enough RU wrestlers got to the tourn a were not expected to AA and did.

I guess some people view a successful Conference tournament differently. You think a successful tournament is simply achieving an allocation spot for NCAA's. Me I'd liked to see a little more than kids taking 8th through 10th. To each their own I guess.Wrestling to your allocation…if your don’t understand that. SMH. It would be a damn shame if Joey O doesn't make the ncaa's. What a disaster of a season that would be. Same with pinto who was our biggest portal acquisition. Really hope that most of these guys get there. I know it's not likely all of them will but I hope we can pull it off.
Not getting that call on the takedown at the edge of the mat. No position change for like 20 secs and then just decides to throw up the 3.

No takedown we win a challenge. Smith came to wrestle this match.
Smith wins 3-2. He was finally aggressive and was in on several shots.

He legit looks like he quit this season. Shouldve just graduated and moved on if that was the case.
Have to admire the kid for winning a Big Ten title as a sophomore and for giving everything he's had. But I'm sorry what a disaster of a season for him. Absolute disaster.
Wicked cradle by Oliveri on the out of bounds line, wins 13-1. I'm not even sure how he got that and stayed in.
He'll no doubt be a RU legend. Just didn't appear focused after the AA. Or just couldn't adjust to the competition. Maybe both.
I noticed as a pattern with a number of RU’s seniors… like the regression and/or burnouts..
Sadly can't argue. He's been on the team for like 6 years though. That's got to be tough on the body.
