Disappointed for Merrill. If he could have held on for 3 more seconds of riding time, his match never would have gone to overtime and he would be in the finals. His opponent‘s coach did a great job of telling his wrestler to get the escape before Merrill had the 60 seconds of riding time.

I'm disappointed too, but I still have a strange amount of confidence in Cody at NCAAs.

Just drove home through flooded streets and after watching the whole tournament (even Ryder's last match) I have only one question.

Why in the hell do we have to listen to insipid music in the background during tournament action. What kind of 1984/dulling of the senses crap is this. It's almost never loud enough to identify the song (thank God) so what is the point.

Who decided this should be here and for what purpose. Was it the same idiot that decided we should have blaring music during every break in the action at duels, right up to and over the starting whistle. Do they really believe we are so dimwitted that we can't take a moment silence without going to sleep or wondering off in a daze. Heaven forbid if I should have a word with my fellow fans.

I never heard the music until Doucet’s final match and I thought it was strange to play music during the matches. At least it quietly being played.
We wrestled well today. We were aggressive and wrestled intelligently for the most part. 8 in the finals and we should win at least 4 of those. Vega will be lucky to beat Ech and Larkin is damn good at 57 although Lando is wrestling the best that I’ve seen this year. I would have picked Downy to beat Dee tomorrow but Downy was beaten tonight, what a shame! Panda was seeded third for a reason, he has trouble beating the 6’3” wrestlers but you have to give him credit for battling with them. The South Dakota HW was big and Doucet gassed against him in the third. Doucet still controlled the match. Jax is amazing!

Count me as one of the old fashioned guys….. just a little too much on the loud loud music. And no need for it all in the background

Jax sure looked fine running up and down the steps in the arena to talk with his family after his matches yesterday in the OSU section.

Lockett is in SV and there is a brick thrown by ASU. Currently 1-1. Lockett hasn't looked good this match. No change. Going to rideouts.
