Yes, we drove through swirling debris where one had crossed I-79 north of Zelionople. It killed at least one person in my wife’s home town of Cochranton which is where we were headed. Scary stuff.Anyone here around for the series of tornadoes that hit western PA in 1985?
Well my wife is from Oil City PA, and we visited her family after the tornadoes. The aftermath was a site to behold.Anyone here around for the series of tornadoes that hit western PA in 1985?
I wasn't around but grew up in the shadow of them and hunted some nice slashings created by them. Tried climbing a water tower near a PPG plant that had been hit by it but chickened out.Anyone here around for the series of tornadoes that hit western PA in 1985?
French Creek where little sugar runs in behind cochranton highschool is such a good fishing spot. Can catch smallys, pike, muskey, walleye and see otters. Kinda. That storm wasn't limited to western PA. A tornado hit about 10 min from my childhood home in central PA, about an hour east of State College.Anyone here around for the series of tornadoes that hit western PA in 1985?
That would’ve triggered the Tasmanian devil warningWondered what it was. Thought maybe messinbrink walked in lol

We drove there once the roads were re-opened. It was weird, in what got hit and what didn't. Dad's childhood home sustained minor damage, and a church 1 mi away was unharmed. Everything in between looked like Hiroshima. Scary as hell. And that was with no trailer parks nearby.
I’ve fished at that location from the bridge abutment many times. Great stream. Tamarac Lake and Lake Wilhelm are great little lakes as well. I’ve caught hundreds of crappie and bluegill from those lakes.French Creek where little sugar runs in behind cochranton highschool is such a good fishing spot. Thats a good idea. MM should have a warning siren for his walk out music lolThat would’ve triggered the Tasmanian devil warning

French creek goes nowhere near Lake Erie.French Creek runs all the way to Lake Erie (dumps into Lake in Erie). Creek gets quite wide and is more like a river where it dumps into Lake. Your not allowed to fish the mouth during Salmon and Steelhead run, but upstream can be great fishing.

Merrill is mehBig 12 - 197
1-Elam(ISU) 5-Parker(OU)
Elam gives up 1st TD of season beginning of 1st. Parker being aggressive. Parker fights off a late TD attempt. 3-1 after 1.
Elam quick escape to start the 2nd. Some nice action in this one. Elam gets a TD to take the lead. Elam rides Parker out, 6-3 after 2. (I missed a point in there somewhere)
Elam with another TD in the 3rd and escape Parker. Elam wins 9-4. A little chippy at the end. I don't know why Parker is blowing kisses, lol.
2-Novak(Wyo) 3-Merrill(OSU)
Scoreless after 1. Merrill with a nice reversal to start the 2nd. Escape Novak. 2-1 after 2. Escape Merrill in the 3rd, 2-2. Review for a Novak TD. No TD, go to OT.
Great scramble by Novak to get to a TD. But challenge by DT for headgear pull. No pull. Novak wins 5-2.
I’m from Crawford county and will never forget my dad taking me wilhelm when I was 12. Every cast was a blue gill within 30 secondsI’ve fished at that location from the bridge abutment many times. Just say you are full of **** and call it a day. You can fish the mouth of Walnut for steelhead, you want to double down on Trout run?Yeah, was thinking of Walnut Creek in Erie. Confusing it with where I fished French Creek when I was a kid... fished French Creek several times where it dumps into Allegheny River.
I had a big musky take a crappie I had just hooked on Tamarac. I let him take it for awhile but my ultralight with 4 lb test had no chance.I’m from Crawford county and will never forget my dad taking me wilhelm when I was 12. Every cast was a blue gill within 30 seconds
Probably the same series of tornadoes that tore through Piper in Cleafield County. I remember seeing trees tossed around like twigs when driving to camp.Kinda. I grew up mere miles from Wilhelm. Tamarac was awesome until it had to be drained but it's come back. Fishing / Duck hunting Conneaut Lake is my favorite. Can catch big ole muskey and pike and kill all sorts of divers you'd never see around the other local area lakes.I’ve fished at that location from the bridge abutment many times. Great stream.
