UVa has had some bloop hits and ground balls with eyes but the difference in quality of at bat has been massive.
This one is over. I don't think I would waste anymore bullpen arms quite frankly.
Please, please, please get some runs here. 0 hits to their 9? Come on boys. You’ve got time to turn this around.
Just awful in every phase today. Can’t hit, errors, and poor pitching. UVA coming into the Bosh with something to prove.
On the scoreboard it is…dont really care about analytics/exit velocity when you’re getting your *** whooped.
I’m not a fan of the way our staff seems to concede games like this. It ruins the confidence of everyone, especially at the plate.
Batting average has always been overrated stat and one bad game won’t change that.
You go to a guy who hasn’t thrown in 2 weeks. I get why you do it, but the guys in the dugout know and feel it as well when you go to a deep bullpen guy.
This dude is going to no hit us. The ECU game was bad, but this is one of the uglier, if not ugliest games I have seen from the Heels in a loooong time.
I did above. I also said it ***SEEMS*** that they are. But going to a deep bullpen arm to eat innings makes everyone think it’s time flush it and get out of the game as fast as possible.
Tar Heels finally plate a run after Hynek hits a laser to the left gap, with the shift Murray tries to get a glove on it, can't get it in time and UNC has Hull on third and Hynek on first. Winslow scores.
Baby steps. Still have a lot of work to do, but at least we got a run and a couple hits! That’s positive.

I agree with you, but our defense has been a huge problem this game. Two really bad errors that cost us badly.
I mean, there’s a doubleheader tomorrow. No pitching staff that I’ve ever seen chases a five-run deficit in that scenario. You aren’t going to go to any of your best relievers in that spot and burn them for the weekend. This one is on Jason. We were spoiled every Friday night last year and I think we’re going to come back to reality a little bit now.
