What is the timeframe like between sessions both days?
What time will Saturday and Sunday nights finish?
Highly doubt I will drive the 5-1/2 hours, but the possibility is still there. Driving out by myself for the weekend. That alone is a mark against making the trip.
TIA

I don't know the answer to your question. My question is tv coverage related. Anyone know the specific coverage of all sessions (concys too) of BTN and BTN+? Sorry if the specifics of this question is easily attainable somewhere. GO PENN STATE!!!

I was born and lived in NWOH until I was about 13, then moved to NEPA. Even as a kid I recall thinking how productive the Land was in Ohio. ‘All Pennsylvania had was those mountains, and what can you do with those’? I realized eventually that both states were beautiful and had much to offer.

I was born in Reno, Nevada where my mom is from. My father was from Bangor PA and was stationed at Stead AFB in Reno. We moved back to PA after his stint. Our family of 5 would drive across the country in a Buick Electra about every 2 years to visit my mom's parents who were dairy farmers. I can validate that Pennsylvania is far more scenic than most of that trip. In Nebraska and Iowa the only scenic change is when 20 miles down the pin straight highway the corn field switches to the left side of road and soybean is on the right . Utah is pretty until you go past Salt Lake City . Whoever named the "Great"Salt Lake was dehydrated and hallucinating. The drive thru the Bonneville Salt flats is just woeful. . Once you hit Nevada, you will see some sage brush and an occasional tree. Eventually the Sierra Nevada Mountains become the backdrop.
Enjoy what we have in Pennsylvania.
Note: If you get to the Sierra Nevada Mountains, make a point to see Lake Tahoe .

Ever do I-70/US-50 between PA and Reno? Much more scenic than I-80.

I will say that I dug through the play by play on this board from last year and Session 1 and 2 both lasted right around 4 hours.
So Session 1 would most likely be 10-2 (3 hour break) and then Session 2 5-9pm. I did not dig into Session 3 from last year........

Yes ,before I -80 was totally completed. It certainly was more scenic. It was farther South and went through the Colorado Mountains.
We stayed at every hotel with a number or color in its name . Motel 6, Super 8 or Red Roof. No Internet or cell phones to book in advance. You looked for Vacancy signs. Before McDonald's became main stream, the common roadside quick food stop was Stuckeys.

when travelling I prefer the back roads more scenic and way less traffic so if your not in a rush do it!
