To be fair idiot. I don’t know any recruit in the top 100 that wants to come to Kentucky right now. If he comes here and dominates for us knowing he wanted to be a jailbird that would make it even better for me personally.

Alright… Can we all finally put this Stokes to UK fantasy to rest? Like I said weeks ago, he’s not risking a year with Pope, for ANY amount of money, and it has finally come straight from the horse’s mouth himself.
Even if KU can’t satisfy his demands, and they will, he’ll just find a different place that will!

I am not sure why anyone would want a player who is saying thy did not want to play here. If he came it would be for money only and how do you coach someone who comes for money only and states this publicly?

Great talent but not worth the headache. If you can't decide to come to UK after this long deliberating then go get 2 good players with less drama.
There's a portion of young elite talent that can take the program hostage. Just go get the guys who want to establish a name for themselves.

If Stokes doesn’t want to come here then for the love of God, please I hope he doesn’t. He’s an attention ***** like a lot of these other young guys. Get some players in here who want to play basketball, who are willing to outwork the next guy, and have a promising ceiling. That’s how you build a team to win championships.

I think Stokes prefers KU over UK because (mix of reasons)....
1. KU has more potential to pay him more because of the Darryn Peterson comparable (top 1-2 mock draft wing player)
2. Lawrence is a little closer thank Lexington
3. Self's system is proven to showcase him for the NBA.
4. Pope's best teams rely on shooting versus athleticism
5. KU buys into load management

The sleepers media folks seem like alright guys, but that entire channel is just clickbait, non-stories.
So why did same people say he was committing to Kentucky early in season? It’s obviously always been about money as it should be as the #1 recruit. I don’t think he cares where he goes as long as the money is right and his people are happy. The kids are rarely the deciding factor. It’s the ppl around them.

We cannot afford another miss like Shadeon/JQ. Let him go in my opinion, split that money and get 2 high recruits and go portal hunting.

UK could offer him $6 mil right now and he won't take it to play for Pope.
So much of this could be posturing. Maybe kansas IS losing ground and their side is putting stuff like this out there to save face.
Or maybe someone around Stokes is putting it out their to drive up bidding, create and keep interest around the recruitment.

He managed to create a bad reputation for himself within 2 years. That’s impressive. Now we’re recruiting 3-star high school Sophomores and Juniors.
