We won the rebounding battle 41-28. That was likely the key.
It was the worst I have ever heard them and that’s saying something

So much praise for all the players tonight but I want to give big props to Nik. He played tough against those Michigan bigs. 6 points, 9 boards and drew big fouls against them when he went for rebounds.
It's amazing how big and physical Pat and Cameron are. Two top 10 picks and an NBA frontcourt. (Pat might be 15ish but still)
Pat still gives some worries on the foul side of the ball .
Agree. Everyone that played tonight was focused on defense. Again, what an effort. Not a pretty game, but that’s what you get when you have two title contenders mixing it up.

Yup. When Yaxel made that three it cut it to one and we called a timeout I thought we were in trouble. Jon called a great play out the timeout with the lob to Evans.

If you want to get hammered, take a drink every time Shulman says "no foul called" when the opposition takes a shot against Duke. It's borderline ridiculous listening to a Duke game when these numbnuts make the call.
What a game and what a win. Not sure if we will end up overall #1 seed, but this should lock up a -#1 seed in some.

Shulman has been unbearable calling Duke games for some time now
Just when you thought they’d hit rock bottom they kept digging. The low point for me was when Shulman thought their big guy got his teeth knocked out. “Making sure his chick lets were all there”. Bilas goes out of his way to appear impartial and so sides with Duke’s opp on every close call. He’s annoying but trying to be professional and not give Duke haters any more ammo, but Shulman was as bad as I’ve ever heard tonight.
I wouldn’t mind getting a little buzzed but I don’t want to be comatose before half time
He was all over the place tonight. My wife was like, where did this dude come from? Has he been injured? I didn’t fully realize until tonight that he’s a matchup issue for a lot of teams. Too quick for their bigs, too big for their guards.
not that it matters but why didn’t Evans dunk count at the end. The ball left his hand with half a second to go.

I was only off with my win prediction . Yes I picked Michigan by 5+. Duke needed Pat, Brown and Sarr to stop their bigs and Boozer did get into foul trouble but like I said Duke would need everyone not named Cameron to step up and they did .
Scheyer pulling Pat was needed because he was letting Michigans front court get into his head and it was only a matter of time before he picked up a stupid foul.

Think he's in the first round. Read somewhere that all three of their bigs are projected in the first round with yaxel in the lottery.
Hell of a win last night! A lot of demons were exercised. Our next 3 of 4 games are going to be a challenge so we need to finish strong just like we did last night.

And boy was Khamenia a key last night. I had been pissed at his play (before the Syracuse game) and now I’m here to eat crow! His play will determine how far we go in the tournament!
Yes, he advocates for the opposing team more than any announcer when the team is playing against Duke, but never reciprocates for Duke. I noticed this years ago with him, but since he was nationally liked, no one took me serious.
His voice goes up several octaves when he thinks the other team was wronged but is silent when it happens to Duke.
I didn't see the game live. I was sucked into a dinner party with my wife's friends. It actually was a lovely dinner, but I wish I had been able to watch live instead of sneaking into the bathroom to sneak peeks! I watched the game this morning. Even tho I knew the outcome, it was still fun to watch.
I agree that Foster showed up big time. Those back to back threes in the first half kept us in touch. Our team defense was elite! Evans didn't shoot well, but made enough for us to win. Cam got his, like he always does! Michigan is a solid team, but I felt like we came out with a solid gameplan and a respectful air of confidence whereas Michigan was tight after a quick shooting start. It was as if they felt they needed to prove something in a game that, in the big picture, didn't mean a whole lot. Duke just played winning basketball.
The only thing missing was Chris Weber calling a time out when they didn't have one for the technical!
Maybe we see them again in the FF. I would feel confident with that draw.

Seen Webber on podcast saying he was looking forward to watching Michigan beat Duke. Have to wait little longer
