I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure Carter not being at NLWC is by his personal choice. After RAF, he said he is still a part of NLWC. He's been in the rooms after Final X per social media.
He seems to have a good relationship with Rocco Welsh, which says something since I'm sure there was no love lost from 2024. Rocco and Carter follow each other on Instagram when they didn't previously and Carter always posts encouragement on his posts. Carter in his own words said he shook Rocco's hand to welcome him to the room and said he was a dog (in his RAF interview)
It's pretty obvious based on his social media post college that Carter really is out of element in a small college town in the middle of nowhere PA and waiting around here until 2028 and putting off his MMA career wasn't something he was going to do. He's traveling all over the world to big cities and in much warmer climates lol
Part of the talk was for showmanship obviously but I can tell you Carter was pretty serious about being done with wrestling in 2023. Leaving his medal count at 3/3 when he could have gone 5/5. If it wasn't for NIL, I wouldn't be have been shocked if he was.

PSU didn't make that template , it's nothing new. Sandusky did abuse kids, he had a filing system you say which allowed the investigators to contact them. Not everyone wanted to talk to them.
But yeah, plenty of people might have milked it but they maybe were abused. I wouldn't be surprised if some made claims that weren't legitimate but in a case like this you settle to avoid a trial .
I am not debating whether an individual may or may not have been a victim. I am suggesting, however, is that there were unvetted payouts, and that is the template that Penn State put in place.
And maybe that is Kurt's motivation. It defies logic that he spoke so highly of his time at Penn State and makes a U-Turn a year later.
I'm funny about this guy vs the Sandusky stuff but I do not disagree with you. I'm thinking he's both nuts, wants attention, and potentially cash. where he differs is any maybe victim had a lawyer and they knew blood was in the water. Perfect for opportunists and unvetted cases as you said.
This here is a new kind of scam, social media attention whoreism. Public declarations with no criminal or civil complaints , little facts or twisted opinions, and what seems to be obvious craziness. Think the door dash girl who claimed sexual assault. If your first claim is on Tic Tok or instagram I assume you're lying. At least the Sandusky grifters and I think there were a few kind of used normal channels which lends some credence to their claims.
I will say that as a member of State College Lodge No. 700 Free and Accepted Masons and Constans Commandery No. 33 Stationed at Bellefonte (Knights Templar) we have done nothing covertly or overtly to influence Penn State Wrestling. I will not say that we do not have members that are fans and boosters of the program only that as a collective we are not involved.
Just the kind of anonymously posted disinformation campaign I had to believe would be coming in short order from a Freemason/Knight Templar/Cobra fan type.

I'll preface this by saying that I'm not a Penn State fan, I just don't hate you like I do Iowa and Nebraska. When this first came out I thought it was a terrible look. I then spoke to a student at the time who told me some things that made me skeptical. Syd Bartlett's history and behavior made me lean towards this being untrue. Every time McHenry speaks, I understand more and more that it was the product of mental illness that a few less than scrupulous people used for their own attempted benefit.
