Probably to busy at the tanning booth.Just as an FYI, we'll hear from Cael on Wednesday. I do not believe Tom Ryand does a media briefing during the week.

I stand at attentionIt’s fine if that’s how you feel. But the military stands at attention. Which is the way I was taught to respect. The pledge of allegiance from grade school and the national anthem are different things. Just a public service announcement, as many people seem to have forgotten
That is what the leader of a great program does. Keep the guys sharp and on edge. Cael just doesn't get it.The guys were so loose for such a big match and Ryan seemed to have his guys a little on the anxious side.
OK, the "Alleghenies" reference hooked me; I don't think I've missed any important historical references. With my deepest and sincerest apologies to the wonderfully talented Smith sisters of Rising Appalachia, and their haunting a capella harmonics:
(Reading while listening along recommended)
One morning, one morning
'Fore Valentine’s Day
I overheard a man so tan
To his charges say,
“Young Buckeye men the time is here,
To come along with me
To tame the Nittany Lions
In the Alleghenies.”
"I’ll buy you all robes then -
Deep scarlet and gray -
You’ll look like royal champions
Prepared to make them pay.
So pack your bags, make ready,
To come along with me
To tame the Nittany Lions
In the Alleghenies."
So the Buckeyes trained hard then
As the Tan One had said.
They ran and they lifted -
Both free weights and dead.
They felt that they were ready -
Positive infinity -
To tame the Nittany Lions
In the Alleghenies.
But then came words of caution —
Moore and Martin from within:
“Be wary of the lion
In the Bryce Jordan den,
Where they have not been beaten
Since 'round 2015,
Lest you count lights on ceilings
In the Alleghenies."
The Tan One had none of it
For 'tis better, he said,
To tame the mighty lion
Outside its Rec Hall den.
"We'll win within the Jordan.
We'll handle it My Way.
We'll tame the Nittany Lion
And not be its prey."
The night came fast upon them
His charges showed well
The lighter battled hard but then
The mids and uppers fell.
As maneless Cael shook hands in line
He stated graciously,
"'Tis good that you'll return soon
To the Alleghenies."
One morning one morning
After Valentine's Day.
I looked west 'cross the mountains
But there came no sound.
I sought out words of comfort.
But where could they now be?
For he was off a tanning
In the Caribbean Sea.
Someone on BSD dug this nugget up too. So many satisfying memories of our duals with the tanners....
I don’t know anyone with any actual power there, lol @jtothemfp notwithstanding.Since you are associated with BSD, can you get someone to fix the top of the recruiting page. It still says something along the lines of Since James Franklin never sleeps, neither do they. Thanks.
Of course someone already fixed it today.![]()

This is why he chose the robesProbably to busy at the tanning booth.
Not worth it, in my opinion, and it's definitely not very upscale. I was just there for a basketball game over Thanksgiving. I was hosted for free by the NLC, so I didnt pay. They have a cash bar, free popcorn, chocolate chip cookies, chips, pretzels, soft drinks, and coffee. I would go back for free, but definitely wouldn't pay for access.Anyone know how the 1855 room is? Wife was going to get tickets for a buddy and me for food and a beer pre match, but it sounds like it’s upscale? Only want to be there 30 minutes or so. Any feedback is helpful!

My first thought on seeing those robes was that they looked liked the women in "The Handmaid's Tale."Most fun I’ve ever had at any sporting event. And those robes looked ridiculous.

I saw them this summer as they were on my season pass at Limekiln. Truth be told, I'm a little bit of a newbie to Americana music, and I went into the show a little skeptical, as they are pretty much stoner hippies and I was a little dubious of what mixing Appalachian features with world music would sound like.Great song. Brings back growing up in State College, folk/country music, the Boy Scouts and hiking in PA. God was I lucky!
This one at least offers food... taking my daughter and middle son who each went to Penn State (following my wife's and my example) along with my daughter in-law and my 2 year old granddaughter who loves wrestling. The last time we went was vs Maryland last year and my granddaughter did her part by trying to strike up conversations and repeatably saying high and waving to the Maryland wrestlers as they were warming up before being announced... I swear she got to some of them as I saw them look over and smile. My daughter is bringing her boyfriend and probable future son in law... he went to Ohio State. Greg: "Do think Bouzankis or Cannon will wrestle?"Just as an FYI, we'll hear from Cael on Wednesday. I do not believe Tom Ryand does a media briefing during the week.
2016, and still the last time we beat them at football, sigh….For those that don't recognize it, that was the boys trolling tOSU in the match the season the football team blocked a field goal and returned it for a TD.
Ha, I def don’t expect Cannon too. And just not sure on Bouzakis at this point.Greg: "Do think Bouzankis or Cannon will wrestle?"
Cael: "Yea we're just trying to get better, be grateful for the opportunity. We have a lot of respect for Ohio State and who ever the put out on the mat we just want to go out, have fun, and get better in each position so we we are at our best in March."![]()
I am really hoping Bouzakis wrestles so I don't have to read for 3 more weeks about how if Luke can somehow miraculously avoid getting pinned he could maybe win this match.Ha, I def don’t expect Cannon too. And just not sure on Bouzakis at this point.
How do you "shatter" the attendance record? They have had multiple sellouts there over the years and the attendance has been consistent. It is not like they can add a few thousand seats.Gonna be Insane and loud in the BJC. The Intensity is building. Think we shatter the Attendance Record Friday. Let’s Go State. We have a couple winning records on the line Here.
Exactly, attendance will be right around 15,900-16,000. Record is 15,998, 100% capacity. Record may be matched, it has no chance of being shattered. How do you "shatter" the attendance record? My long held but completely spitballed theory is that the fire code says capacity is below 16k and going over that mark comes with a fine. Hence why we’ve had several 15,998 ties, lol.Exactly, attendance will be right around 15,900-16,000. Record is 15,998, 100% capacity. Record may be matched, it has no chance of being shattered.
Agree. Standing room only counts too which many guys like to do.How do you "shatter" the attendance record? They have had multiple sellouts there over the years and the attendance has been consistent. It is not like they can add a few thousand seats.
they should, like, build an extra bathroom or something. My long held but completely spitballed theory is that the fire code says capacity is below 16k and going over that mark comes with a fine. Hence why we’ve had several 15,998 ties, lol.
