i was glad she stayed. i think the gurl got game. anyone know if her injury was that serious or are they angling for a medical redshirt???? i think she could be really good once she figures out when to go 1000 MPH and when to dial it back a bit.
ThisIf she hasn't even been dressing my guess is you won't see her again this season and applying for a medical redshirt. Getting late in the season for someone who hasn't played in 2 months?
she might be good as soon as she learns how to pass the ball.i was glad she stayed. i think the gurl got game. anyone know if her injury was that serious or are they angling for a medical redshirt???? i think she could be really good once she figures out when to go 1000 MPH and when to dial it back a bit.
I think she would have been gone by now and not sitting on the bench.Me also thinks she’s goooooooone!
If the team was complicit in exaggerating an injury to allow the player a shot at a medical redshirt, that would be an NCAA rules violation. This is definitely a situation where Jan sat her down and said this isn't a fit. We can act like you're injured and preserve a year of eligibility for you, but you won't be on the team next season.

Definitely??? Strong word for unfounded speculation. This is definitely a situation where Jan sat her down and said this isn't a fit. We can act like you're injured and preserve a year of eligibility for you, but you won't be on the team next season.
Totally agree, that is not Jan's style or our culture. Hope Emely is getting better and able to play in the future. Whether that be as a Hawkeye or at another school. If the team was complicit in exaggerating an injury to allow the player a shot at a medical redshirt, that would be an NCAA rules violation.
My only problem is if she's planning on leaving, leave now. No need to be on the bench or traveling or anything. And if they are paying her? That's beyond stupidhonestly who cares at this point?
If it’s not fit then move on . No ones fault necessarily. Sometimes you swing and miss. Such is life in the NIL
She probably continues to collect a paycheck as long as she's actively involved with team activities. Then she can go for a medical and get another paydayI think she would have been gone by now and not sitting on the bench.
My understanding is NIL is paid in monthly payments. If true, quit and so do the paymentsI think she would have been gone by now and not sitting on the bench.

Is this confirmed or speculation? This is definitely a situation where Jan sat her down and said this isn't a fit. We can act like you're injured and preserve a year of eligibility for you, but you won't be on the team next season.
What is an NCAA violation anymore? If the team was complicit in exaggerating an injury to allow the player a shot at a medical redshirt, that would be an NCAA rules violation.
Everyone remembers that she wasn't a part of the team for a few weeks, right? There could still be a punishment going on.

I get your point...but it does seem Iowa manages to get shafted by the NCAA from time to time. Students/athlete gambling, Drew Ott, KF 1 game suspension, etc.Wait a minute, you actually think there are still NCAA rules that people follow.
He said definitely so must be factIs this confirmed or speculation?

That's how I read it. Had it also been in bold letters then that would have absolutely sealed it.He said definitely so must be fact![]()
The haves like Michigan don't. The have nots self report and the coach gets suspended. Rules only apply to the rule followers.Wait a minute, you actually think there are still NCAA rules that people follow.
