i was glad she stayed. i think the gurl got game. anyone know if her injury was that serious or are they angling for a medical redshirt???? i think she could be really good once she figures out when to go 1000 MPH and when to dial it back a bit.

If McCabe is out an extended period of time it would be nice to have Emily back. We're down to CC, Kylie, Taylor, and Addie for proven guards.

If either of them get in foul trouble or God forbid get hurt too then you're looking at Teagan, Callie, and Kenise

I would hope she sees our starting 2 and 3 are graduating and as of right now the only incoming recruit is a number 4(not counting potential portal transfers) A lot of playing time available at the 2 and 3 especially if Deal takes over at the 1 when CC needs a breather.

She’s likely gone. She wants a redshirt and resume. Quitting on your team looks bad in the portal/nil.
hope im wrong about that.

This is definitely a situation where Jan sat her down and said this isn't a fit. We can act like you're injured and preserve a year of eligibility for you, but you won't be on the team next season.
If the team was complicit in exaggerating an injury to allow the player a shot at a medical redshirt, that would be an NCAA rules violation.

At this point, I doubt she’s still hurt. The back issue is convenient. Collecting her NIL, trying not to cause too much of a distraction. That would only hurt her portal opportunities

Everyone remembers that she wasn't a part of the team for a few weeks, right? There could still be a punishment going on.

My only problem is if she's planning on leaving, leave now. No need to be on the bench or traveling or anything. And if they are paying her? That's beyond stupid

I have no idea of what her standing is and I'm no medical expert but I do know that back problems can take awhile to fully heal sometimes and then flair up again over and over. A player cannot play with back pain/problems unless they are very minor.

Have any reporters asked Jan recently about the situation? Like whether they think she could be back or whether she will likely be done for the season? I've seen other coaches say a player is getting close to returning or they hope to have them back in a few weeks and talk like that. Seems like it was around Christmas time when we got the last update(unless I missed something). It kinda went from a day to day injury to now nothing.

Is this confirmed or speculation?

My opinion is she is probably gone but not because she's not a fit with Jan, but more likely she was injured and now buried in the depth chart.
