He 100% was ignoring commands, assaulting others (and LEO, while actively resisting arrest)…. Who also didn’t tell them he was armed upon being contacted (literally the first thing we teach in CC and safety classes)… but go off.
Maybe you should learn your 2nd amendment rights a little better. Or maybe, just maybe, stop twisting facts to some alternative you know isn't true for once. Duty to inform is not a requirement in Minnesota, and if taking place in another state, it would also be a requirement whether he was officially "contacted" by a police officer before being pepper-sprayed and taken down from behind, which is also dubious.
Here's what actually happened:
It starts off with a badly trained officer excessively pushing people off their feet multiple times. Pretti who was already backing up preemptively and to avoid confrontation has a woman pushed into him by said officer, he then goes to help up another such woman who was pushed to the ground, that is while also being pepper sprayed for no real reason. Pretti then has his back turned trying to help the woman up, meanwhile the ICE officer decides to grapple him from behind, apparently to detain him, but again for no real reason.
What happens next occurs in less than 10 seconds:
Pretti gets taken to the ground (again having just been pepper sprayed), multiple officers swarm over, he gets beaten and pistol-whipped by said officers all while he has his hands above his head protecting himself the entire time. In the last few seconds, one officer disarms him. After he is already disarmed, then one officer fires a shot and then the rest fire at will on him.
No he was not resisting, no he never reached for or had his hands anywhere near his gun, as they were by his head the whole time. Which anyway doesn't excuse being fired into and killed (even if he had been resisting) when he had already been disarmed prior.
Those are the facts and video evidence points at no possible alternative. It's downright pathetic that you have people defending federal officers who are poorly trained and overly combative with citizens who had every right to be there, quick on the trigger, and murdered an ICU nurse and US citizen who did absolutely nothing wrong.
It's pathetic how you MAGA types want to twist facts to anything other than what happened. I've been on some dark corners of the internet before, but this site takes the cake and has some of the most vile, disgusting, and morally reprehensible people I've ever come across. But sure, go ahead and twist this discussion to some fantasy agenda that suits your pathetic and perverse worldview, that's what you people do.
