could be. I look at the individual match ups based on if one kid has a better chance than to win 2 out of 10 matches IMO. Thus, anything can happen. Sickness, injuries, long bus rides and other things can weigh heavily as well! With that said I lean 7-3 although 9-1 wouldn't surprise me!OSU's 'historic' 2022 recruiting class is running out of time to distinguish itself. They are now 4th-year Jrs or Srs with the top dog (Mendez) graduating after this season.
This year's team is by far the best they've looked since 2022, but a 0-5 dual record against PSU would be a big disappointment for such a historic class.
Maybe this will be the year; we'll see.
forgot a 0 didn't ya!!1 out of a 100?
Not bad. But you forgot to address positive infinity. What do we do about that?My guess is that they’ll fly in this year. That long bus ride is a killer. Let’s hope we have some average officials and that the black shirts aren’t wearing their pin chains. If so, it could be a long night.![]()
I still remember Tan Tom near the end of the match red faced and yelling at Kolin Moore. I don't know what he was saying, but I imagine it was along the lines of, "I bought robes and you embarrass me".Don't be stealing the thunder from Ant-Knee, he sealed the deal in the dual of the century beating a #1 undefeated wrestler.
I would definitely pick Levi and if setting odds would be 70/30 in his favor but I do think it will be a close match. Is 174 a tossup? I mean Kharchla got an early TD against Haines last year - this is going to happen every once in a while, and then Levi came back got a TD and also rode the snot out of him to win.
Basically, every guys hope for an upset against Levi is to get a TD against him and then to stave him off for a victory. Kharchla got the TD and still couldn't pull it off. It's not a tossup. Kharchla would be lucky to win 1 out of 10 against Levi.
Maybe 90/10 or 95/5I would definitely pick Levi and if setting odds would be 70/30 in his favor but I do think it will be a close match.
Seeing that Levi is a Senior world silver medalist, is brutal on top, and doesn't get ridden.......my odds for Levi are a hair better than 70/30.I would definitely pick Levi and if setting odds would be 70/30 in his favor but I do think it will be a close match.
That's Levi's chances against Kharchla. Not bad. But you forgot to address positive infinity. What do we do about that?![]()
Hopefully no leg brace on Kharchla this year to defend his leg from Levi. That leg brace kept things a lot closer than it should have been last time. The winning streak will be tested in the sense that we could lose multiple weights instead of 0 or 1. I don’t see a real threat, though.
125 Lille MD Bouzakis. It’s pin or get majored for Bouzakis. He can’t actually wrestle with Lille
133 Blaze dec Davino. This is really very close to a 50-50 match and probably the single match I’m most looking forward to in the entire dual season, which means TanTom will probably have Davino duck the match. I hope Blaze rips McCrone limb from limb if TanTom ducks Blaze.
141 Mendez TF Davis. Hopefully, Davis can hold this to a regular decision or even a major, but Mendez is next level. Davis has a better chance to shock the world in March.
149 SVN MD Stiles. Stiles isn’t the same tier as SVN.
157 Duke dec Cannon. Duke takes over #1 for good.
165 Mesenbrink TF Paddy. #1 overall big board recruit vs #70. Wait, what?
174 Levi dec Kharchla. Could be MD, but Kharchla is good defensively.
184 Rocco dec Fishback. Rocco is just starting to explore his powers in the PSU room.
197 Barr TF Geog. Next question.
285 Feldman dec Mirasola. Cole could win if the match score is really 25-5 at that point and momentum is in our side, but in a vacuum, Feldman is the favorite.
25-8. sweating bullets.
I'm betting levi pulls out a bow and arrow and cranks this kid to his back. Call it a going out present to the fans in bjcI would definitely pick Levi and if setting odds would be 70/30 in his favor but I do think it will be a close match.
Roar told me once, nothing is 100%. So, 1 out of a 1000?forgot a 0 didn't ya!!
Let the hand-wringing officially begin!
They can wear robes if they'd like, but unless their robes cause them to wrestle like this guy it will be all for naught.Perhaps we see the robes again??![]()
[/URL]I don’t think Cael would even bring up those comments.I think we will see a highly motivated PSU after the comments Tom Ryan made before and after the PayCom Duals. Cael preaches and genuinely believes in the zen approach to matches but make no mistake Cael is highly competitive. Tom Ryan poked the bear and is going to get what he has coming.
For those thinking Kharchla is a toss up or close to a toss up with Levi, you are just not paying attention. Levi may be the most improved wrestler on the team from an already dominant position. Messenbrink and Barr are right there as well. Everyone can lose an unexpected match but if you aren’t seeing how much these 3 have separated themselves from the field I don’t know what you are watching.
As far as Davino, I agree he is a great wrestler. Marcus Blaze is just different. If you really dig into it, Davino has looked great beating mostly mediocre talent so far. Yes he beat Ayala but so have 4 other guys and probably a couple more to come. He best Frost 4-2 in a pretty competitive match to the end. He also lost to Cornell grey shirt Isaiah Cortez who just took 4th at Midlands including a loss to the no. 32 ranked Oregon St wrestler. It will be a good match but Davino beating Blaze would be an upset.
Mendez will win big. Feldman will be a favorite but Cole will give him a good match. Bouzakis may win but Luke looked great at Iowa. I think Fishback will push Rocco as well. I think 8-2 likely. 7-3 if tOSU has a good day.
Not bad. But you forgot to address positive infinity. What do we do about that?![]()
That’s not something to discuss. It simply exists in an existential realm. If you mention it or even think about it deeply, it becomes a reality. It’s known as the Beetlejuice phenomenon. Not bad. But you forgot to address positive infinity. What do we do about that?![]()
Intermat and OSU have Davino undefeated beating Cortez 4-1 in SV.I think we will see a highly motivated PSU after the comments Tom Ryan made before and after the PayCom Duals. Cael preaches and genuinely believes in the zen approach to matches but make no mistake Cael is highly competitive. Tom Ryan poked the bear and is going to get what he has coming.

I think the Duke will take out Cannon, but Cannon’s length bothers me. We don’t have a good gauge because Sealey looked a sluggish against him. On the other hand, Tyler had no issue cleaning him up at B1Gs.My confidence barometer:
Mitch
Josh
Shayne
Levi
Marcus
Rocco
PJ
Luke
Cole
Braedan
People talk about Davino, Kharchla, maybe Fishback. It would be very surprising, almost shocking to me if we lost one of them, especially Levi and Marcus. No way. I’d give Cole better odds of beating Feldman than one of those three losing
Maybe I’m off but if we’re going to get upset, I would worry about 157. Cannon just seems like a wild card to me. Is he that much better than last year or is it just the competition he has faced?
if everything goes great for tOSU they win 4 and lose 22-13. That would be a great result for them. Most likely they win 2 and it’s more like 29-7.

There are some who think our wrestlers are coached by James FranklinMaybe 90/10 or 95/5

I wonder if they will be bringing hell with them again? It didn't work out so well last time.
It is a trick question with no valid solution. Much like Iowa trying to figure out how to close the gap with PSU.[(t^2 - 25) / (t-5)] = 10

And SVNBeing as PSU only loses Haines this year I think PSU is capable of starting the season with 6/7ish #1s and depending on Ono, The 174 replacement (duke?James?henckel?), and Mirasola you could see it happen again next year.
