100%. I try really hard not to say negative things directly about an individual player. I'm sure I have at times, but that's not who I want to be as a fan. I don't have a problem calling out a lack of effort though

Even those of who do disagree with Stevenson, I think should be able to respect his right to say it as well. He stayed true blue through three different coaches. Few players had that kind of loyalty to the program.

Look at the 2011 Brandon Knight team. They played terrible basketball through 3/4 of the season then caught fire in late February and went on a 10 game winning streak culminating in a Final Four appearance. So keep on being mediocre. Where did I say I gave up? We have improved a small amount, but getting down double digits in 9 of 11 power conference games is a huge problem. I even said in the intial post you replied to that there is a small chance we go on a huge run. For some reason you think talking about the reality of our record and results is insanely negative, very odd.

The past has zero to do with the future. Teams and individual players can improve. Did you not read the example I gave you about the 2011 team ? They had the same trajectory as the current team and improved as a team.

This is simply wrong. Of course, this team can improve, but they will not reach the level most thought before the season started. The "past" I'm referring to isn't years ago, it is these same players that have shown their level of play over months and it simply isn't high enough to for the level of UK. Sometimes the truth hurts. 2011 team had way more talent as well, Knight, Jones, Lamb.
This team listed below absolutely sucked during the season and almost lost in the first round of the ACC Tourney. With a bunch of no names, went to the Final Four. You don’t know what the future holds.

In my view a fan giving up means they stop supporting the team. That could be not watching the games or just trashing the players and coaches with nothing positive. But rooting for them and thinking they will probably lose when they're down 15 isn't giving up on the team. Thinking always getting behind double digits is a problem that needs to be corrected is not giving up on the team. Thinking the team will likely lose some future game or thinking we're unlikely to win a championship is not giving up on the team. When teams were killing us on the pick and roll and our players were going under screens being upset about it wasn't giving up on the team. Now that they've improved at the pick and roll defense I'm happy about it but I'm not jumping back on the wagon; I was never off of it. Before this turns into a book I'll finish by saying that being critical of the team is not the same as giving up, and no matter what your idea of giving up is, fans giving up doesn't doesn't lose games. As long as the players and coaches don't give up it's just not a real problem.

Are you slow? Everybody knows what we are right now. We all watch the same games. None of us thinks its acceptable. Some of us just happen to see the potential for vast improvement. And it’s possible with this roster we have. I’ve cited examples of teams that have improved IN SEASON for you. But you keep accentuating the negatives.

Don’t care what Perry thinks. I was a fan long before he came to play here. Ecstatic that we’ve won 3 in a row. However, 12-6, and some *** whipping losses, including by 35 to Gonzaga, is not going to cut it at Kentucky. It’s just not. A lot of work to do. Need to go 9-4 to close out conference play.

I have said we can improve, but in 9-11 power-conference games with a double-digit deficit. It's not like this is a good team and is just having a few bad breaks or close losses. This is not a good team and this trend of getting down huge is going on 2 years under Pope. That also isn't the only reason fans are being negative; recruiting is bad if not horrible, this is reportedly the most expensive roster in college basketball, and it is bad. So you and Perry can shove it.
It’s funny he calls some bandwagon for having criticisms. He sure didn’t mind fans watching him playing at UK and there definitely was plenty to criticize back then too. It’s impossible for me to hear his name and not think of his free throw shot blocking abilities. That was the night I had the wtf moment and they confirmed without a doubt UK was screwed with BCG.
