Yea I love ya Perry but could give Af what you have to say if you’re gonna tell me how to be a fan. We don’t celebrate NIT. Fitting that it’s a Billy Clyde player hee haw inn.

I like him speaking up and supporting. I love his post. But he can also go fk himself respectfully if he thinks I’m gonna cheer for certain things. I was a little kid and already had years of knowledge on what Kentucky basketball was before he even played here. I didn’t use to watch cartoons I would be sitting there with them vhs tapes of the 96/98 national championship games on repeat. Showed all the background to the season kind of like the journey videos. Pretty sure the tape was called come back cats.

So I love ya Perry but it’s never a bandwagon over here pal. Im always on my teams side. I may trash my team but then you might just have to call me a sh itty fan and I’ll live.

Your dunk over that guy will always be a special memory. That is one play I can remember the rest of my life. You did that and me, my dad, grandad, and Granny rest in peace we all went crazy. Absolutely nuts even if it was the NIT.

Who makes it, has no need of it. Who buys it, has no use for it. Who uses it can neither see nor feel it. What is it?

This is still a bad season. There is a small chance we can go on a huge run and turn it around, but I still highly doubt it. Looking at maybe a 7-9 seed, if I am supposed to celebrate that, then that is sad. That also doesn't mean I am not hoping for the turnaround, but reality is what it is.

I love Perry, but fans are well within their rights to voice real and serious displeasure about the way this team plays with half a heart at times, from behind all the time, how the roster was mismanaged, lack of recruiting prowess thus far, and lack of answers to the question: "how does this stuff get fixed?"

Comeback wins are great. They're fun every once in a while. Fans pay to see two halves of ball, though. Not one. We can't expect our second halves to carry us.

Also, I'm not sure if it's fans jumping off the wagon rather than a large portion of us who are concerned and ashamed of our team getting thumped by 30 in Nashville, losing to a garbage UNC team, and losing to one of the worst teams in the SEC at home.

None of us are bandwagon. We all watch and stick with the team. Criticism does not make you a bandwagon fan. Even if you watch less when they’re bad you’re not a bandwagon fan. I’m so sick of the judgmental crap in this world.
I think it’s worth noting that what he posted was vague. I’m sure he has seen things on Twitter that made him feel he needs to speak his truth about it. And I’ll be real — yes, there are plenty of people who jumped off the bandwagon. There’s a difference between being critical and crossing the line into toxic behavior — I’ve been guilty of it myself. I’ve called players trash, called for the coach’s job mid season, all kinds of things. I get Stevenson’s point and I don’t think he’s wrong.

Waxing negative isn’t what reality is. You could have just as easy highlighted the improvements our players are making. Still a lot ball left to play: Jasper Johnson played a helluva game yesterday. Jelavic has been coming along nicely lately. Dioubate had a good game yesterday. Moreno is starting to assert himself as a bona fide big man. Aberdeen is playing as good as anybody in the country. Chandler is playing great basketball. Try looking at the positives and go from there. Smart people do.

Perry Stevenson is right. I want 100% buy-in from the players that represent the school I love, but I have failed to provide the same 100% buy-in. Thanks for the rebuke, Mr. Stevenson — I’ll keep trying to be a better fan for it, sir. 🫡
This isn't really directed at you, just a comment. I don't think pretending to be positive all the time makes you a better fan. You don't get bonus points for being mister positivity. When we suck, I'll be negative. When we win, I'll be happy. That's how coaches, players, and fans should be in my opinion.

I agree. I’m not in favor of whitewashing anything, but wouldn’t you say there’s a difference between saying: “Omg the team played awful defense “ versus “Collin Chandler is a waste of space and needs kicked off the team!”? I see the distinction, and I’m not preaching — I’m guilty of both, I’m just trying to understand where “flexing them bones” is coming from.

Since when can one not cheer on the team and still be critical when warranted. I’m sorry but we have been blown out in 3 of our 6 losses and that’s not counting UofL a game week were down by 20. Home losses to UNC and Missouri (first time ever). This season still has a long way to go and still feels like an uphill battle (as does every game). This season to date has been unacceptable, I’m not accepting mediocrity in our basketball program, that wasn’t the assignment.

Not going to celebrate mediocrity at UK. Acting like losing at home to UNC and Mizz after having holding leads is acceptable and getting blown out vs Zags, Mich st, and UL is just normal. Also we start every game with a double digit deficit. We are 12-6 acting like fans are overreacting.

This morning my 6 year old gently placed his index finger on my 4 year olds head. For whatever reason this really bothered my 4 year old and he went on to tell my six year old why he should not do that again, visibly irritated. My 6 year old then did it again, resulting in more talking and aggravation. After about 2 minutes my 6 year old, with no real effort, kept placing his index finger on my 4 year olds head causing him to sob. I told my 6 year old to leave him alone and I gave my 4 year old a banana and he calmed down. I would offer you a banana but I’m out.

I really hope you’re out because you keep making my notifications go off and you won’t talk anything Kentucky related.. acting like a scorned woman.
