Hoffs has said that she was not comfortable with the hyper-sexualized personna she had with the Bangles. She has also said that being a sexpot upset the balance in the band. If you watch a video of "Walk Like An Egyptian," you will see that the members take turns being the lead, but Hoffs' looks led her to be the dominant figure.
Yes, any sensible man knows that's true. But of course we all enjoy dreaming about beautiful women. I'm at an age where women over 55 can look really good to me.
I am a lucky one who has a wife that really doesn't age. Still a runway model beauty at over 55.
But, hate to sound really wrong here- but, I don't usually find those of use over 55 all that attractive in a "desire" type of way. Yes, attractive as "they look good for their age" just not in a way that make me stop in my tracks. On the other hand- seeing some 20 something woman, does not do it for me either.
so again, unless they are Haley Berry worthy or my wife(and she qualifies for HB worthy) - I consider myself very lucky that I do not have to be looking for real.
Have to begin to analyze the interest of the people that spend their time online in the same places I do and what that says about me. Lol guess I'm getting old because I was also interested in seeing the pictures,

And anyone in our age group is *really* lucky that we're not, as you put it so well, "looking for real." Let's face it -- a lot of us are no bargain, either!

Back in the 90s I heard Cindy Crawford say that "Its not fair how men age better than women. Men can more easily look dignified when they are older where women can seem more worn by time."
I didn't know what she meant then but I do now. I see women as flowers and men as trees. Flowers are more beautiful but lose their bloom quickly where a tree creeps into time. At menopause women lose estrogen and their collagen really takes a hit - structure under the face goes slack. Not the end of the world but American women try to do too much with make-up compared to European women. TV news presenters look like painted mummies. I hate seeing make-up troweled on. Fillers breaking down make all worse.
I hardly ever see old Hollywood glamour anymore and consider most celebs as dogs. You have guys who dont like women running entertainment along with woke women who resent elevated beauty standards. Sydney Sweeney (not a great actress) actually pissed people off for being voluptuous and that was a statement. Whole franchises are collapsing because new Hollywood wants to trash the things people like, There was a time I would go see a new Diane Lane or Jennifer Connelly film just because of them but thats gone. Bollywood and Hispanic media do a better job judging by Facebook feeds
My wife often tells me is that her anti aging is from being Caribbean. Damn woman doesn't even go to the gym and keeps her 5ft9, model build with curves in the right places with no sags anywhere. And I am not complaining - each year I get older it looks like I get an even younger woman at my side...
One of the great things about living in Bangkok is that women who are 50 look 30,,,,,,,,as long as you're sure they're women.
