Another season of “The Night Manager” is up, on Prime. Very dense first episode. Hiddleston excellent, as always.
Season 2 of “The Night Manager” is getting more than a normal share of “not worth it” reviews. I’ll soldier on.

Season 1 was very good, hope I didn’t scare anyone off Season 1.

Currently watching The Copenhagen Test on Peacock. Stars Simi Liu of Shang- Chi fame, as an intelligence operative who has been compromised by a “brain transmitter” that has been used to steal internal intelligence secrets. Not too bad, but not like Slow Horses.

The wife is doing her community service with the Olney Woman’s Board (I’m very proud of her) and I’m watching Breaking Bad, Season 3 Episode 2. Walt gets pepper sprayed (I smiled at his agony, I have really come to hate him) and Jesse buys his parent’s house from under their noses. Good episode. The second appearance of Mike. Saul being very Saul. The Cousins sit in wait for Walt but get called off.

The "Cousins" and Walt do some no littering commercials here in NM. They are pretty good. There is one funny scene at the end where one of the Cousins picks up a bell and starts ringing it.

I just never got into BB. I know it was well done but just never connected with it. I loved Better Call Saul. 🤷‍♂️

Saul, explaining to Walt why Skyler will never turn him in: “And think of you cooking meth under the nose of your DEA brother-in-law. When they’re done with him he’d be lucky to be allowed to bust glue sniffers at the local hobby shop.”

Mad Men on HBO Max and I’ve been dipping in and out of it; very clear they didn’t know how well the show would do - episode 1 Don is worried about Pete taking his job but Pete is in accounts, not creative. Obvious mistake on rewatch. But, everything else holds up very well. I liked but never loved Breaking Bad; they conveniently got rid of Walt’s disease and made he - and everyone else on the show - irredeemable. It’s also very clearly two separate shows - S1-4 and then the rest.

I agree. I tried watching BB for a few episodes of the first season and then bailed out - this was years ago. About a year or so ago, I tried again, but again bailed out. I'll give BCS a try. Now that I've seen Rhea Seehorn in Pluribus, I'll probably like BCS.

And Pluribus - just a magnificent show. Very compelling. Seehorn nails her character - she's crusty, opinionated, and overly emotional (sometimes) but you can't help but feel for her. After finishing Pluribus today, I dove back into Hijack (Idris Elba), and it is something else. Not as cerebrally engaging as Pluribus, but so far (first episode) a lot of drama and excitement. Also very well done.

And I do hope they continue Pluribus. So many questions that need to be answered/resolved.

One of these days, I'll probably go back and grit my teeth and try wading through Breaking Bad once again. It seems somehow too good (or "iconic") to ignore, but there was just something about it that I didn't find it compelling. Mad Men is another series that I watched the first few seasons years ago and then bailed out. I need to give that one another try to finish.

I loved the cinematography and lighting they did in BCS.
One of my favorite openings and an amazing tracking shot...

The acting was criminally under appreciated. The Courtroom scene with Saul and his brother and the battery should have won all involved an Emmy.

I think you will love BCS if you like Rhea in Pluribus. She does fantastic work in BCS.

Gilligan knows how to make a pretty show - without a doubt. His blocking and cinematography is maybe the best on television.

And Seehorn? Killing it in Plurbius and vastly underrated....stunner.

To each their own. I loved Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul but don't care for Pluribus at all.

First look at Euphoria S3….for those who watch. Sydney Sweeney’s character will have an OnlyFans or so I’m told.

Landman Season 2 has been a disappointment so far IMO

Episode 10 (final for season) is coming up Sunday 1/18

Taylor Sheridan has a bunch of loose ends to tie together....though he has done that in previous projects

I watched season 1 and it felt much like a typical Sheridan show. They are good enough to keep me entertained but not super high quality. Billy Bob is the only thing that kept me watching. The wife and daughter are so beyond annoying (though not as bad as Beth in Yellowstone). Can't do another season.

IMO, his best are Mayor of Kingstown and 1883.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will restore your faith in GOT. Last episode was an all time banger (9.7 on IMDB). Felt like watching S4 of GOT again. WOW.

It really is a terrific show. They're sticking to the source material and that's a good thing.

Excellent show. The hour flies by...

Just watched The Age of Disclosure on Prime. I found it very well done, would rate it very highly and recommend it, irregardless of what side of the fence you are on with regard to UAPs.

Any thoughts on Hijak? I thought the first season was great. Season 2 so far has been very disappointing bordering on lousy.

If you have AMC+, there is a new season of Gangs of London and soon the new season of Dark Winds will debut!
I kind of lost interest in Gangs of London but really looking forward to Dark Winds. Premiers Feb. 15th. Its also been renewed for season 5.

just finished this last night ... and interesting twist in the last minute of the final episode
I mean, “I forgot my charger.” GMAFB.

The problem with these shows is that they’re always trying to milk another season out of the franchise.
