Fugitt About It!Ayala loses...again.
I wouldn't be surprised if Larkin is #1 next week. He just beat #1 and #3 in less than a week. Which would cap Duke at #3 max. This probably moves PJ up to #2 in Flo's rankings and hopefully he'll be at #1 by the evening of January 30 : )
Ayala Fugett around and found out.Fugitt About It!
Nice to have him back. 133 is gonna be an absolute prison yard fight come March, especially if Jax brings his hips to the party.Unranked Crookham Lehigh 7-3 over #16 Ferrara Cornell
133 is so deep. On Flo they debated which weight is the toughest. One said 133, another 157, and a third 184. 184 has very good top end talent but not the overall depth, 157 has both as does 133. 157 adding Larkin and 133 getting Crookham back is about a wash. If Jax ends up competing this season I lean 133 but both weights are insane. Super elite guys and tons of depthNice to have him back. 133 is gonna be an absolute prison yard fight come March, especially if Jax brings his hips to the party.![]()
133 could also add Seidel if he is not RS133 is so deep. One Flo they debated which weight is the toughest. Not sure how a guy can be quite overrated who placed 4th and has beaten multiple AA as a true freshman.Larkin is definitely impressive. At the same time, Watters is quite overrated.
Looks like Iowa peaked too soon, should have sent the starters to the Soldier Salute.
May go over to the Iowa board to see their new path to winning Nationals, maybe Bob can buy (bye) some of their wrestlers to the finals?
It will be interesting to see what the rankers do with him since he does have a loss at 149 this year, which was a tech at that. Willie recently commented on Baschamania that he wouldn't put Larkin at #1 yet.I wouldn't be surprised if Larkin is #1 next week. He just beat #1 and #3 in less than a week. VT's 133 Dillon Campbell is an AA contender.133 could also add Seidel if he is not RS
Overranked at #1, but Watters was undefeated and who else earned it? Taylor got majored twice, Blaze is at 165, Kasak and Henson are both shirting, Shapiro was inactive in the fall, and Duke has to climb the pollster mountain. Not sure how a guy can be quite overrated who placed 4th and has beaten multiple AA as a true freshman.
Bob leveled the women’s playing field, too!
I guess the man with the harder head wins the scramble .--Rankings based on what B1G+ was showing for their broadcast--
149- #26 Drew Roberts (Minnesota) over #20 Michael Gioffre (Illinois) 7-6.
157- #27 Charlie Millard (Minnesota) over #6 Kannon Webster (Illinois) inj. def.
*** Scary situation with Webster. He and Millard collided heads and Webster was almost out on his feet, stumbling toward the Illinois bench, where fortunately someone grabbed him before he fell over. ***
174- #22 Ethan Riddle (Minnesota) over #19 Colin Kelly (Illinois) 11-8
197- Unranked Dylan Connell (Illinois) over #20 Gavin Nelson (Minnesota) 4-1.
That's what she saidI guess the man with the harder head wins the scramble .
There were unconfirmed rumors and confused podcasters about Crookham going around back in November. They were all baseless rumors that may have started by some random poster on Mineos facebook group. Truth is Santoro did not say anything publicly.I had thought the talk not long ago was that Crookham was done for the year again. Does anyone have info on what went down? Did he just heal up quicker than expected? No matter how it happened it’s great that’s he back and healthy. Kid is very good and makes 133 even more fun
