I found that Bombas wore out at the toes way too quickly to justify the price. Switched to Pro Mountain low cut socks with a wide toe box. Less expensive, give my toes room to move, don’t budge all day and hold up really well.
And yea, I’m 70 also as of yesterday. I’m all about comfort and value.
I have to disagree on Bombas; I stick to FootJoy ProDry and worth the $10 a pair

Just get a Bidet.

Speaking of which, a friend recommended this cheap bidet attachment to me last year and it has been life-altering. We would never have a toilet without one again. Works fantastic, and we tapped it into the hot water since ours was right beside the sink, but that isn't a requirement.

Actually just moved to a new house and looking at Toto bidet seats, but need to have an electrician drop outlets next to the terlits. Can’t have ol' Gary blasted by ice cold water. Regardless, the Tushe will remain. Great for trips, too, especially when the TP isn’t up to standard

Yes, trips are now a concern. Once I became accustomed to a bidet, all TP is now John Wayne TP. I may try this for trips.

We moved my mother back to NC this past weekend and I installed those on all of her toilets. They are great.

After a decade of using a specific kind of boxer briefs, the manufacturer changed up the materials and quality on me so I went in search of a brand that I could buy in bulk and throw all of mother others out. Thanks to a bunch of Reddit posts, I settled on Pair of Thieves Super Fit boxer briefs.

10/10 recommend. Light, breathable, and just the right length for me.

I happened to be reading through this thread yesterday looking for this kind of recommendation. I have been using duluth trading boxers for a while but sometimes the "package" pouch puts me out there a bit too much depending on what pants im wearing. I also happened to be at wal mart and they apparently carry pair of theives. They had a whole end-cap of them on clearance. I bought 4 pairs $5 each last night. Wearing them this morning and find them to be very comfy

That Pickle Guy minced hot Giardiniera. That ish is good on everything and when you melt butter and add the oil from the Giardiniera to it and put on hot popcorn, best snack going

I never believed in spending money on socks until my wife bought me some Nike athletic socks. Best brand I’ve ever owned. Had them for at least 1.5 years and haven’t worn through them yet even though they are my running socks.

6 quart Instant Pot (basically a pressure cooker that comes with some other cooking modes). I think I’m gonna like this thing. It cooked several chicken breasts, potatoes and carrots really quickly tonight and they turned out really good.

This post burns my ***.

We just moved into a new house and one of the very first things I did was order another one of these and install it in the master bath. Unfortunately the hot water was too far away to tap into, and I'm regretting my earlier statement that hot water isn't essential, haha. It's better than not having a bidet, but definitely worse than having a hot water bidet.

Leatherman Skeletool. Light weight and has a great blade. I added a bit with a carbide glass breaker in case I ever need to break a car window. Great EDC

Never been a fan of Leatherman ergonomics. Those OG ones sucked to use the pliers. They’ve gotten better but still not a fan. I prefer the Gerber multitool. Especially if you need to use the pliers. The Gerber blades on the knives don’t hold an edge worth a damn though. I rarely use the knife on a multitool. Both are good products. I like a compact set of pliers when fishing on foot. The ease of snapping my wrist with the Gerber to extend the pliers was a game changer for me.

You can do a lot with it.

Last week, I took a picture of the inside of my refrigerator and pantry and uploaded them to ChatGPT, then asked for an instapot recipe using the frozen salmon I had an a pasta. It gave me a pretty nice easy recipe that turned out really well and only took about 20 minutes to make.

I've had really good Leatherman and Gerber products.

I had a 20 year old Leatherman that broke, I sent it back and they refurbished it for free.

I got talked into an electric toothbrush a few years ago by my Dentist (sonicare). I used it for 3-4 years before I finally decided I hated it and went back to the Costco 5-pack.

It's probably harder on my gums, but you'll never convince me I'm not getting a better cleaning with elbow grease than a gentle enamel buffer.

Your dentist would recommend you switch back.

I moved so I could get a second opinion from Joel. And technically it was the lady you fired who insisted on it, so how could I trust her opinion? :ROFLMAO:

This is an oldie from the previous site, but this thread is useless if it doesn't give a shout out to the best ice cream on earth...

Now in the darker days I've been enjoying my Kasa smart home products. Outlets and switches so I can light up the house before I get home.

Also adding the MyQ adapter to my existing garage door instead of replacing the whole opener has been fantastic

Let this serve as your reminder that it's the tail end of Strawberry Yogurt Pretzel season at Costco, which means I scooped 6 (!!!) bags yesterday for $5.99 each...

Along these lines, is anyone familiar with Govee permanent lighting? Thinking about installing the Pro version at my house this summer. Would mainly be for Christmas lights, but having the flexibility to use for other holidays and uses would be a bonus. I'm just not sure how "Christmas-y" they look?
