OT: My area is switching to FIOS--How do you like it ?

Fios for 5 years. Don’t know that I ever lost TV or internet connection. I hear Comcast has a better interface with DVR and menus but I’m sticking with Fios. Was off contract for a while and just renewed and got gigabit for same price I was paying for 100GB. Can’t complain.

    OT: Tax Deductible Retirement Accounts

First year's RMD is about 3.5% and Increases slightly each year. It will not be drawn down over 12 years. Like at the IRS table. It goes out to age 120 I believe not 82. If you are just taking the RMD there is a decent chance your principal will stay in tact for the majority of your retirement.

OT: Beginning to Save for Retirement

All good advice. I would just add that most of these companies have made changes the last few years so that there are indeed more equities across the various target date funds to account for longer life expectancy and the low yield world. So if you are going to choose a target date fund and...
