I have been coaching youth football for 12 years and have coached over 450 kids. I am chairman of an inner city outreach football program. I have had two sons that played from 3rd grade through high school with completely different wiring, skill sets and varying degrees of success and they...
I am a 30 yr MS native Memphian &
father of two boys that have come through private school in Memphis. Currently have a senior & sophomore at MUS. I have friends whose kids attended or currently attend most of if not all of the schools on 615's list. As to "best" schools that certainly...
Thank You! This is what I have been saying to the bear buddies of mine. This whole process of a response is to give UM the ability to respond to the allegations with 1) any plausible reason for such allegation to have occurred-i.e. extenuating circumstance that might lessen penalty, 2) CONCRETE...
What makes you think that? Gut, intuition or inside knowledge of more to come--just curious-I'll hang up & listen. (Though if there is more to come, it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all)
There are only two "private schoosl" in Memphis that cost over $20k (MUS & Lausanne) and yes they do provide tuition assistance for athletes as well as very strong academic students. However, at MUS-no one rides for free-all must have some skin in the game. MUS in particular has the same...
Yep, ice storm came in on that Thursday night, school called off on Friday, by Saturday noon, you couldn't find a single beer in the grocery stores in Starkville. Everything sold out. The cafeteria was on lockdown after hundreds of trays were stolen to use for sleds (first & only time I ever...
Agree with dirtydog--270 is a fine shooting gun and shoots flatter than many. The issue is likely more of the "anticipation " of the recoil. Both of my boys shoot 270s with a muzzle break. The muzzle break eliminates the bulk of the recoil if not altogether. (a gunsmith can order & install)...
Hey now, no need to besmirch bowties just because .01% of Bears wear them! I love a good bow tie from time to time and I am a Dawg through & through. Totally unfair against the bowtie--no different than implicating flip flops just because they are popular among ISIS members. :)
Married to a Rebel for 20 yrs & all in law men are Rebels. All my people are Dawgs. Both sides get along very well but the Rebel men do their drop their head when I ask "why do all Rebel girls have to go to State to find a real man, are that not any coming out of Oxford?" Cuts em deep...
Saw Malcom Johnson Sunday am @ Football complex. He had just gotten back from surgery on his right hand. Pins & plates but he said he would play Sat. I would be surprised. While there went into training room & saw Bear getting some form of PT on his back--heat & & stim. Dak was not in there...
Lax is currently the fastest growing sport in the US. As stated, it is slowly moving south but obviously much more prevalent in the NE & West Coast. Both of my sons have been playing for 4 or 5 years here in Memphis and play on tournament travel teams. My boys play for MUS where it is big and...
Do a little research on the right Rev...
At least when he was at Briarcrest, quite a number of his fellow faculty members did not know him to "walk the walk" so to speak. Looked good getting off the bus but that is about where it ended. His behavior & manner of treatment of others was quite...
Agree on a lot of what you said, Pt #1 & 2 specifically, but
Expounding on the money issue comes down to actual living alumni. It has been a while since I did the research but I would imagine it still applies--MSU has the least number of living alumni (also referred to as donors) of any SEC...
