OT.......How to get weeds out of mondo grass.

Vantage works great, but only on grassy weeds (but not sedges). If you have broadleaf weeds it won't work.

    OT: Gun safes

I have never owned a gun safe in my life, but now my kids are getting older and the top shelves of my closet won't do anymore. Besides, if someone breaks in while i'm gone i want it to be a ***** to get my guns. I don't really know what to look for. I need to store a couple scoped deer...

    OT: Drinking standards

It was a George T. Stagg release. It's one of the brands from the Buffalo Trace Distillery that I picked up on my way back to Texas from West Virginia. I'm not sure how available it is, but it's damn good. No Pappy around here either. Never tried it.

    OT: Drinking standards

So, I pour a glass of $50 bourbon this evening. Kids are screaming, work sucks lately and I need this, so I leave the cheap **** on the shelf. I let it sit for a couple minutes after I pour, then I come back and there's a dead fruit fly in my glass. I fish it out and drink up. No one saw, so...

Rain delay O.T. weed control with Burmuda grass in north Texas

If you have a lot of broadleaf weeds, get some Manor or Blade (or anything with the active ingredient metsulufon methyl). It's quite safe on warm season grasses and smokes most broadleaves. You'll need something different for the grassy weeds. If you have crabgrass, MSMA will work if you can...

If you have it, you can use it until it's gone as long as application are consistent with the labeling.

Rain delay O.T. weed control with Burmuda grass in north Texas

There really aren't any good controls for Dallisgrass since MSMA was removed from the market. It's on a few labels of some very expensive herbicides, but nothing really works that well. Your best bet, unless it's the whole lawn, is to just blow holes in it with roundup and let the bermuda...

Question for you yard and garden type majors.

Ruckus, Tall fescue might work ok and would be cheap, but you'd need to wait until September to seed it. It might also thin out during the hot summer months. St Augustine is also shade tolerant, to a degree, but doesn't take dog traffic very well. Bermuda and zoysia will probably need more...

Question for you yard and garden type majors.

Despite what other have said, Poast (sethoxydim) will not work. It is one of the few herbicides that is actually labeled for selective weed control in centipede lawns. Roundup will work at low rates and not faze the jasmine. I do this all the time. Mix it at a about a 1-1.5% solution and...

Earl Campbell gave me a handful of Skoal bandits when I was a kid My dad took me to meet him. I was six years old and he handed the bandits to me where my dad couldn't see. Told me not to let daddy find out. Of course I went home and stuffed them all in my mouth at once and ended up puking my...
