    Chet Coppock

    I first met Chet in 1972 when he was just starting his career in Indianapolis. He came to my HS and interviewed a couple of us knuckleheads. He made a point to stay in touch while I was at NU and through the years since...truly a class act.

    Pete and Greg were both class acts as well as great players...we fielded some decent players on those teams. Sadly, it turned out to be the dawn of the dark ages.

    An article about Pete Shaw was enough to get this longtime lurker off the sidelines and onto the Board. Pete Shaw was indeed the hardest hitting defensive back in the B10...and he took great pleasure bringing it in practice as well as games. Very happy to see him active in today’s program...good...
